We help consumers turn their smart thermostats, EVs, batteries, and other products into virtual power plants that keep the grid stable and enable higher penetration of solar and wind power.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Market Intelligence & Relationships: Build relationships with prospective customers, partners, and industry leaders. Gather market insights, identify emerging trends and unmet needs, and translate external signals into clear internal opportunities.
- →Strategy & Opportunity Development: Partner with senior leadership and key internal teams to identify, shape, and prioritize new solution areas aligned with EnergyHub’s strengths.
- →Subject Matter Leadership: Develop early expertise in new, high‑potential markets and serve as an internal resource to help teams understand market dynamics, customer needs, and success factors.
- →Business Concept Validation: Act as a catalyst to move new ideas forward. Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Engineering, Product Marketing, Partner Solutions, and others to assess product‑market fit, commercial viability, and alignment with go‑to‑market strategies. When required, work independently of these teams to validate the business potential of new idea concepts while still incorporating the viewpoints of other internal EnergyHub teams.
- →Market Requirements Definition: Define functional and market requirements for new opportunities, working closely with Product and Product Marketing to advocate for what’s needed to win in new segments.
- →Pipeline & Early Customer Development: Build and manage a pipeline of new opportunities. Leverage your network to open doors to new prospects and help secure early pilot customers, partnering with Sales or leading efforts directly when specialized expertise is needed
- →Conceiving Pilot Projects: When required, coordinate with other EnergyHub teams to conceptualize and launch initial pilots of new business concepts.
Requirements
~1 min read- Proactively and independently drive business opportunities, close deals, and generate recurring revenue in a SaaS environment
- Bring knowledge of grid and utility markets, including grid‑edge technologies such as EE, DR, storage, and EVs
- Assess product fit against customer needs through discovery and qualification of new business opportunities
- Develop market‑leading customer engagement propositions (RFIs, RFPs), delivery plans, and support organizational upskilling
- Take a hands‑on role in legal and pricing negotiations
- Build and sustain strong partner and customer relationships
- Inspire confidence among internal teams and external stakeholders
- Build new initiatives from zero through launch
- An entrepreneurial, resourceful, and collaborative mindset
- Strategic vision to connect external market trends with internal product and business opportunities
- Strong networking and communication skills that build trust across engineers, operators, and executives
- Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive, self‑starter approach to complex, open‑ended problems
- Ability to work seamlessly across functions, bridging external partners with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams
- Comfort communicating at both business and technical levels with diverse stakeholders

The base salary range of this opportunity is listed below and is determined within a range based on factors including qualifications, location and experience. This allows opportunity for growth and development within the role. The base salary offered is part of a total compensation package.
