Senior Fullstack Engineer (w/m/d)

At Flinn, we’re redefining how medical device manufacturers create safer and better products 10x more efficiently. To shape the development of one of our new products and to extend and scale our technical platform, we are looking for a product-minded Backend Engineer with a strong AI focus. You will build AI Native products that increase the safety of medical devices and as part of scaling Flinn, you will play a key role in growing our tech team further and building. For this position, we are looking for a new team member with a fix base in commuting distance to Berlin or Vienna to enjoy regular in person interactions paired with great flexibility for remote work.

• Build AI Native Products - Work at the forefront of GenAI and ML, bringing state-of-the-art technologies to life.

• Collaborate with an exceptional team of Top Data Scientists, Designers, and Engineers across disciplines with experience at Amazon, N26, Apple, TIER, Gorillas, and IBM.

• Be involved in defining and shaping our technical roadmap.

• Drive and spear-head architectural and software design decisions.

• Take part in shaping our software development processes as well as quality and security standards.

• Be hands-on in designing, developing and deploying scalable web applications.

• Mentor other team members and be involved in hiring software engineers.

We are not just looking for someone to complete Jira tickets, but rather to be actively involved in decision making (product & tech) and take ownership and initiative.

• Proven track record of designing, implementing, delivering and maintaining complex web applications.

• Experience building modern backend systems (preferably using Node.js).

• Solid understanding of both relational and non-relational databases.

• Experience in frontend development (preferably React).

• Motivation to write clean, well-tested, well-documented and maintainable code following strict compliance rules and guidelines.

• You have a positive, problem-solving mindset and a clear bias for action, you bring in your ideas and solutions proactively.

• You have a passion for sharing your knowledge, you mentor less experienced engineers, you lead by example.

• You are a good communicator both with technical and non-technical folks and are able to give and receive direct and open feedback.

• You are flexible, pragmatic, and able to react to new findings and keep adapting under dynamic environments.

• You are passionate about creating products that solve real-world problems, while regarding technology as a tool and not an end in itself.
