Line Cook - Hook it Up

Description

• →Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portions and quality standards
• →Set up and maintain your assigned station before, during and after service
• →Prepare ingredients and complete daily prep to support efficient kitchen operations
• →Cook fish, shrimp, chicken, fries and other menu items safely and consistently
• →Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food quality and proper preparation
• →Maintain proper portioning, presentation and consistency for every order
• →Read and execute guest orders accurately while maintaining an efficient pace during service
• →Communicate with fellow cooks and front-of-house team members to keep orders moving smoothly
• →Properly label, date, rotate and store food products
• →Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary workstation throughout the shift
• →Follow all food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standards
• →Assist with cleaning, stocking and closing responsibilities as needed
• →Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by your direct supervisor, Executive Chef/Owner

Requirements

• →Previous line cook, prep cook or restaurant kitchen experience preferred
• →Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen safety
• →Ability to follow recipes, portion standards and preparation procedures
• →Comfortable working with fryers and other commercial kitchen equipment
• →Ability to work efficiently and maintain quality in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• →Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team
• →Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically active work
• →Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
• →New Mexico Food Handler Certification or ability to obtain within the required timeframe
