This role is focused on driving sales growth and strengthening market execution across an assigned territory. You will manage distributor relationships, expand outlet coverage, and deliver primary and secondary sales targets through strong field execution. The position combines territory sales, distribution management, customer relationship building, merchandising, and market development. You will use sales and MIS data to identify performance gaps, uncover opportunities, and improve execution across the geography. A key part of the role is ensuring strong product availability, visibility, and implementation of commercial initiatives in the market. You will also support and develop distributor sales teams while building lasting relationships with trade partners.
You will be responsible for achieving territory sales objectives through effective personal selling, distributor management, market development, and frontline execution. The role requires strong commercial awareness, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to influence distributors, sales teams, and trade customers.
- Achieve assigned sales targets through regular market visits, personal selling, and effective distribution management.
- Drive primary and secondary sales performance across the assigned territory.
- Manage distributor systems across both front-end and back-end infrastructure.
- Monitor distributor infrastructure and identify gaps requiring corrective action.
- Analyze MIS reports to identify execution gaps, performance trends, and opportunities for growth.
- Translate sales data and market insights into actionable sales and distribution plans.
- Negotiate with distributors to strengthen business performance and improve commercial outcomes.
- Develop distributor sales teams and strengthen their ability to manage customers and generate incremental business.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with trade partners and key customers.
- Gather market intelligence and provide relevant feedback and reports to the branch team.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen competitive positioning through improved customer service and market execution.
- Plan and execute promotional activities within the assigned geography.
- Ensure strong merchandising, product availability, and visibility across outlets.
- Support the implementation of business initiatives and commercial programs in the market.
- Monitor distributor and sales-team performance regularly and implement corrective measures where required.

Requirements

You should be comfortable working in the field, analyzing sales information, managing relationships, and translating market insights into effective execution plans.
- Minimum full-time graduation in any relevant discipline.
- At least 2 years of experience in channel sales.
- Strong understanding of distributor and RS distribution management.
- Proven ability to manage and evaluate ROI calculations.
- Experience with RS appointment and sales planning.
- Knowledge of distributor infrastructure and sales-team management.
- Experience conducting promotional activities and ensuring effective market execution.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret MIS and sales reports.
- Good understanding of outlet coverage, distribution, merchandising, and customer service.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-management capabilities.
- Ability to develop and influence distributor sales teams.
- Strong market awareness and ability to identify competitive opportunities.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Effective communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of the relevant local language is desirable.
- Ability to work independently in a field-based sales environment while collaborating with internal teams.
- Strong ownership of sales targets, execution quality, and territory performance.
