This executive-level role will lead strategic federal growth initiatives and expand the organization’s presence across priority government markets.
You will identify, shape, and capture high-value opportunities while developing trusted relationships with senior government and acquisition stakeholders.
The position carries responsibility for building and managing a substantial qualified pipeline and driving complex procurements from early market intelligence through award.
You will work closely with proposal, technical, pricing, contracts, and executive teams to develop compelling solutions and competitive capture strategies.
The role also involves building strategic partnerships with federal integrators and technology providers to strengthen contract positioning.
Success will require deep knowledge of federal acquisition, strong agency relationships, and a demonstrated record of delivering significant contract awards.
This is a remote executive opportunity with direct influence on growth strategy, market expansion, and federal business development.

  • Identify, qualify, and prioritize strategic federal opportunities across targeted agencies, including HHS, DHS, Air Force, Army, and other relevant government organizations.
  • Develop and manage a qualified federal opportunity pipeline in the $250M–$500M range.
  • Leverage executive-level relationships with government program offices, acquisition leadership, and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead capture activities from early market intelligence and opportunity shaping through proposal development and contract award.
  • Develop differentiated win themes, competitive positioning, customer engagement strategies, and teaming approaches.
  • Coordinate with proposal, technical, pricing, contracts, and executive teams to develop competitive and compliant solutions.
  • Establish strategic relationships with major federal systems integrators and technology companies.
  • Negotiate and structure teaming agreements aligned with targeted contract vehicles and growth objectives.
  • Represent the organization at federal customer engagements, industry events, conferences, and other market-development activities.
  • Strengthen prime contract positioning and expand the organization’s presence across priority federal agencies.
  • Drive annual federal contract awards of $50M+ and contribute directly to broader corporate growth objectives.
  • Provide executive leadership and market insight to inform corporate strategy, investment decisions, and resource allocation.

Requirements

  • 12–15+ years of federal business development and capture experience within the Government Contracting (GovCon) sector.
  • Demonstrated success generating $50M+ in annual federal contract awards.
  • Proven experience leading capture efforts for large federal opportunities valued at approximately $50M–$250M.
  • Established relationships with senior stakeholders within agencies such as HHS, DHS, Air Force, Army, or comparable federal organizations.
  • Strong understanding of federal acquisition processes, contracting practices, and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage large qualified opportunity pipelines and convert strategic opportunities into contract awards.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience with federal contract vehicles such as GSA MAS, OASIS/OASIS+, DHS vehicles, and Department of War IDIQs is preferred.
  • Background in IT modernization, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing, or advanced analytics is valued.
  • Strong executive communication, relationship-building, negotiation, strategic planning, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment and collaborate across executive, technical, proposal, pricing, and contracts functions.
  • Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance is preferred.
