About the role
 
We are looking for a results-driven Assistant Sales Manager to support the growth of Lalamove for Business by driving new account acquisition and developing a strong sales pipeline. This role is ideal for a commercially minded professional with experience in fast-paced environments such as e-commerce, SaaS, marketplace, or technology-driven businesses. 
  • Drive new business acquisition by building and maintaining a strong sales pipeline.
  • Identify, prospect, and engage potential clients through outbound and inbound lead generation activities.
  • Develop and execute strategies to expand market reach and generate qualified sales opportunities.
  • Consistently achieve pipeline, revenue, and account acquisition targets.
Corporate Communications & Partnerships Management
  • Directly manage and guide the BD Associate in producing sales enablement materials.
  • Ensure BD initiatives directly support sales pipeline creation and conversion.
  • Strengthen the acquisition funnel—from lead generation to activation and expansion.
  • Team Management & Coaching
  • Manage BD associate and Acquisition lead to grow their corresponding new corporate client segments in both volume and quality of accounts.
  • Support team members in closing strategic deals or negotiating complex requirements.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting
  • Drive strategic optimization of acquisition and BD associate KPIs that would best maximize revenue Ensure CRM hygiene and data accuracy of reports/numbers.
  • Run weekly reviews to assess gaps and deploy corrective actions.
  • At least 4-6 years of experience in Sales, Business Development, Account Acquisition, or Commercial roles. 
  • Experience working in e-commerce, SaaS, marketplace, technology, or other high-growth industries is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience managing sales and account management teams, with demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, and develop high-performing individuals to achieve both individual and team objectives.
  • Strong data analytics and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret sales data, pipeline metrics, and performance trends to drive informed decision-making, optimize sales strategies, and improve overall team productivity.
  • Excellent industry knowledge, supported by a proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets, managing key accounts, and executing effective sales plans in a competitive environment.
  • Willingness to work onsite on a daily basis and travel for business as required, including client meetings, partner engagements, and company events, to support business growth and strengthen customer relationships.
