MetalQuest Unlimited is looking for a Human Resources Specialist to join our growing team. This is a hands-on, in-office HR position for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems, supporting employees, and helping build a strong workplace culture. The HR Specialist will work closely with employees and leadership across the organization and will play an important role in onboarding, employee relations, HR administration, and employee engagement. What You'll Do

          Employee Relations

• Serve as a trusted knowledgeable HR resource for employees and managers to facilitate appropriate solutions based on SHRM or companywide policies/procedures.
• Assist managers with employee relations issues, performance concerns, coaching, and documentation.
• Uphold the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee matters.

          Onboarding & Outreach

• Coordinate and conduct new-hire onboarding and orientation.
• Ensure new employees complete all required employment documentation, pre-employment requirements, and onboarding activities.
• Represent MetalQuest at community recruiting events, career fairs, and local school tours to promote career opportunities and build talent pipelines.

           Benefits

• Administer employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, PTO and other company-sponsored benefits.
• Assist employees with benefit questions and enrollment changes.
• Process new-hire enrollments, qualifying life events, and benefit changes.
• Coordinate with insurance carriers and benefit providers as needed.
• Maintain accurate benefit records and assist with monthly benefit reconciliations and invoices.
• Support annual open enrollment and employee communications.

           Culture

• Build strong relationships with employees across all levels and departments to help foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture where employees feel valued and supported.
• Partner with Culture Specialist(s) to gather employee feedback through surveys, conversations, and other engagement activities and help identify opportunities for improvement.
• Recognize underlying challenges and take initiative to find positive, effective solutions.
• Help ensure company values and expectations are reflected in the employee experience.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent 2-4 years HR experience.
• Strong understanding of HR documentation, employment laws, HR best practices/SHRM, and workplace policies.
• Concentrated attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Hours :

Monday - Friday : 8:00 am - 5:00 pm  (can be somewhat flexible) 

Physical Conditions

Primarily office-based, with regular visits to the production shop floor and manufacturing areas. Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection. Primarily sedentary office work with periods of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday. Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other standard office equipment.
