We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer III (SDE-3) - Backend to join our core engineering team. In this role, you will play a vital role in driving technical excellence by leading the project execution end-to-end. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver robust and highly scalable software solutions. This position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on our system architecture and contribute directly to the growth and success of the organization.

• →Technical Leadership: Lead project execution by driving RFCs, design docs (HLD/LLD), and execution plans for the product development team, ensuring strict adherence to best practices and standards in engineering.
• →System Architecture & Scale: Design, build, and maintain highly concurrent, low-latency backend systems capable of processing massive transactional throughput.
• →Core Engineering & Influence: Influence technical decisions and project direction based on your backend expertise utilizing Ruby on Rails and Go (Golang), but not limited to them. Write clean, performance-optimized, and maintainable code.
• →Platform & Data Infrastructure: Optimize database performance, query execution tuning, and cache-layer strategies (using PostgreSQL, Redis, etc.) while safeguarding data consistency across microservices.
• →Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with product managers, designers, DevOps, and other engineering squads to deliver seamless integrations and exceptional user experiences.
• →Technical Mentorship: Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers (SDE-1/2), fostering their professional growth, reviewing complex pull requests, and raising the bar for the engineering culture.
• →Operational Excellence: Proactively identify and address system bottlenecks, address the root causes of persistent infrastructural issues, and champion automated testing, observability (tracing/metrics), and CI/CD automation.
• →Strategic Evolution: Identify opportunities for organizational enhancements, propose structural technical alternatives to optimize team execution, and balance short-term feature delivery with long-term architectural stability.

• Years of Experience: 5 to 8+ years of intensive, non-internship professional software development experience in fast-paced product startups or high-scale tech enterprises.
• Technical Stack Mastery: Adequate knowledge of the Ruby on Rails framework along with robust experience/proficiency in Go (Golang), focusing on building high-performance APIs and multi-threaded systems.
• Distributed Systems Depth: A strong grasp of computer science fundamentals when it comes to dealing with distributed systems, networks, concurrency control, and the trade-offs of the CAP theorem.
• Frameworks & Storage: Strong proficiency in database ecosystems and architectural patterns like PostgreSQL, RESTful APIs, gRPC, and MVC architecture.
• Architectural Mindset: A knack for problem-solving, thinking from first principles, and a strong track record of delivering high-quality software while gracefully balancing Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) like reliability, scaling, security, and usability.
• Iterative Mindset: A bias towards shipping early and iterating; a strong belief in making small, incremental changes to existing systems instead of large, multi-quarter undertakings.
• Leadership & Ambiguity: Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, set clear technical expectations, handle stakeholders, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent technical field.

• Familiarity with other backend technologies and frameworks. Experience with database design, optimization, and query performance tuning. Experience in driving technical decisions and implementing positive organizational changes.
