NextGen Hospitality Solutions is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our team in San Clemente. This full-time, on-site position offers a fantastic opportunity to work in the vibrant restaurant industry, where you will directly contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests.

As the Assistant Kitchen Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. You'll collaborate closely with our culinary team to implement innovative menu items, maintain inventory, and uphold our commitment to exceptional service. This role provides a platform for growth and creativity within a supportive environment.

We offer an attractive salary range of $60,000 - $70,000 annually, along with benefits and opportunities for career advancement in the thriving hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Kitchen Manager in daily operations and staff management
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Help develop new menu items and specials
  • Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a positive team culture
  • Monitor food quality and presentation
  • Handle customer inquiries and feedback professionally
  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating kitchen staff shifts

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Culinary Arts or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in a kitchen environment
  • Strong understanding of food safety practices
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus
