NextGen Hospitality Solutions is excited to announce an opening for a Steakhouse Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager at our esteemed restaurant located in Glastonbury. This full-time, on-site position is ideal for a culinary professional with mid-senior level experience who is passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences in the restaurant industry.

As the Steakhouse Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, and leading a talented team of chefs. You will be responsible for maintaining our high standards of culinary excellence while managing inventory, food preparation, and staff training. This position provides an excellent opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and creativity in a thriving environment.

We offer a competitive salary range of $66,000 - $76,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for career advancement within our growing company.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure adherence to food safety standards
  • Manage and train kitchen staff to maintain high-quality food production
  • Assist in menu development and execution of seasonal dishes
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage food costs effectively
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the quality of ingredients
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to enhance guest experiences
  • Implement and maintain kitchen protocols and procedures

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager in a high-volume restaurant
  • Strong culinary skills with a focus on steakhouse cuisine
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creativity and a passion for developing new dishes
