The worlds of energy, transport and artificial intelligence are colliding and Ohme is at the heart of this new era. By using technology and data integrations to connect cars, chargers, people, energy providers and more, Ohme has a powerful platform that puts the consumer at the core.

Ohme has been selling its chargers to consumers since mid 2019 and has had exponential growth since. We are now operating in multiple countries and have partnerships with the likes of VW, Mercedes, Octopus Energy, and other innovative brands.

We are scaling up the business and are building out the team for rapid growth. If you’re interested joining a fast-growing cleantech venture on a data and AI-first journey to speed up the global transition to clean, affordable energy, read on!

We are looking for a hungry Business Development Manager to be based in Brussels, Belgium with expectations to travel to our HQ in London every few months.

In this role, you will support our Partner-based route-to-market. You will work closely with the Sales Team to expand our footprint and grow our installer/wholesale network in Belgium. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about customers and wants to be part of disrupting the energy and mobility sectors with technology.

You will be expected to be in the Brussels office 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively generate new leads through outbound calls, emails, and field visits
  • Handle direct B2C sales conversations with end customers interested in purchasing an Ohme charger
  • Qualify inbound B2B and B2C leads, ensuring fast, professional follow-up
  • Conduct discovery calls with residential customers and guide them through the buying process
  • Book meetings and support the senior sales team in closing larger B2B opportunities.
  • Manage and maintain an accurate sales pipeline in the CRM
  • Support promotional campaigns targeting both installers and end customers
  • Visit installers, partners, and prospects across Belgium on a regular basis.
  • Represent Ohme at local events, installer meetings, and EV-related exhibitions.
  • Gather structured feedback from customers and installers and share insights with the sales team.
  • Actively contribute to increasing Ohme’s brand visibility in the Belgian market.
  • Highly energetic, outgoing, and confident especially on the phone
  • Comfortable with B2C sales conversations and direct customer interaction
  • Enjoy cold calling, objection handling, and closing deals
  • Naturally persuasive, with strong communication skills and “sales instinct”
  • Curious, eager to learn, and motivated by targets and results
  • Very mobile and happy to travel frequently across Belgium
  • 0–2 years of experience in sales, business development, retail sales, telesales, or customer-facing roles
  • First exposure to B2C sales is highly valued
  • Familiarity with the EV, energy, mobility, or technical sales environment is a plus
  • Fluent in French and Dutch; good working knowledge of English
  • Comfortable using CRM tools and digital sales tools
  • Strong interest in clean technology, sustainability, or electric mobility
