JOB SUMMARY:

The Group & Event Sales Representative will focus on selling Universal’s newest year-round horror attraction, Universal Horror Unleashed. They will support sales efforts by soliciting and servicing assigned group and event business, with a focus on small to medium-sized corporate, convention, DMC, and direct group opportunities. This role supports the sales process through lead follow-up, client relationship building, site visits, proposals, administrative coordination, and partnership with internal teams to help meet sales goals and guest service standards.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops new and repeat group and event business within assigned markets by following up on leads, conducting outreach, participating in networking opportunities and professional associations, and promoting Universal Horror Unleashed to prospective clients. Supports small to medium-sized group and event opportunities and escalates larger or more complex opportunities to the Sales Manager as appropriate.
  • Maintains and supports existing accounts through regular follow-up, client training, FAMs, hosted functions, site visits, and relationship-building with clients, hotel partners, DMCs, and other business partners. Works with the Sales Manager to generate repeat business, new leads, and referrals.
  • Supports the sales cycle and event coordination by preparing and maintaining sales materials, proposals, account records, reports, and sales activity tracking in Salesforce/Delphi. Processes group ticket sales, event deposits, and balance payments using the SAP Horizon ticketing system; assists with Banquet Event Order and run-of-show information; and coordinates with Food & Beverage, Operations, Finance, and other internal teams for successful event execution.
  • Maintains current knowledge of Universal Horror Unleashed product offerings, procedures, policies, market trends, competitive offerings, and sales tools/systems. Participates in ongoing training, internal briefings, and product updates to ensure accurate and current information is shared in client interactions.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in group sales, event sales, or hospitality sales in the Las Vegas hospitality and/or event industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • LVMPD Non-Gaming Work Card.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Will require some domestic travel.
  • Must be willing to adhere to all Company workplace safety policies and protocols.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to support client and internal partner needs.
  • Effective presentation skills and ability to conduct site visits, client meetings, and product overviews.
  • Technical acumen to effectively navigate point-of-sale and CRM systems including Salesforce, Delphi/Amadeus (Space Management/BEO), and Horizon/SAP POS/ticketing system is desirable.
  • Knowledge of the Las Vegas hospitality and/or event industry is preferred.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as determined by business needs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook.
  • Ability to use sound judgment and escalate complex client, contract, or operational matters to leadership as appropriate.
  • Ability to review sales activity, maintain accurate records, and support reporting needs.
