Pastry Sous Chef – French Riviera Concept
Our Mission
We bring the elegance, warmth, and artistry of the French Riviera to every plate. Our kitchen is a place where tradition meets innovation—where buttery layers, delicate glazes, and vibrant flavors tell a story of coastal France. We believe in craftsmanship, hospitality, and creating moments guests will remember long after the last bite.
The Impact You'll Make
As our Pastry Sous Chef, you’ll be the heartbeat of our pastry program—ensuring every dessert, bread, and sweet bite reflects the sophistication and joy of our concept. You’ll support the Executive Pastry Chef, lead the team in their absence, and keep service running smoothly whether you’re opening the kitchen for the day’s first croissants or closing after the last crème brûlée leaves the pass. Your ability to run expo will ensure that every plate meets our exacting standards before it reaches the guest.
What You'll Do
  • Assist the Executive Pastry Chef in daily production, menu development, and seasonal specials inspired by the French Riviera.
  • Prepare and plate pastries, breads, and desserts with precision, artistry, and consistency.
  • Open or close the restaurant on scheduled shifts, ensuring all kitchen operations are ready for service or properly shut down.
  • Run expo during service, coordinating with the culinary and front-of-house teams to maintain timing, quality, and presentation.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate pastry cooks and prep staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Maintain inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients.
  • Uphold food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards at all times.
What You'll Bring
  • 3+ years of professional pastry experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of classic French pastry techniques and plating styles.
  • Ability to run expo with confidence, managing timing and communication under pressure.
  • Experience opening and closing a kitchen, including operational checklists and staff coordination.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to consistency.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative spirit and passion for hospitality.
Why You'll Love It Here
  • Work in a kitchen that celebrates artistry and creativity, with seasonal menus inspired by the French Riviera.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package, including health coverage and paid time off.
  • Opportunities for professional growth, including pastry workshops and culinary travel experiences.
  • A supportive, close-knit team that values respect, learning, and shared success.
  • Staff meals and discounts across our restaurant group.
We are an equal opportunity employer and celebrate diversity in our team and our guests.
