People Operations Partner

We are hiring a People Operations Partner to help build a people function as world-leading as the science it supports. Based at our Sydney facility, you will work across the full breadth of HR, owning work end to end and shaping how the function operates as we scale.

This is a role for a systems builder and a genuine all-rounder. In any given week you might redesign a workflow with AI, write a policy from scratch, integrate systems, partner with leaders and staff across a range of matters, lead a people intelligence project, support onboarding and relocations, or organise a cultural initiative. You will move between very different problems, and you are the kind of person who sees a manual process and wants to redesign it rather than repeat it.

This is career-defining work, helping build the people function behind the team that will build the world's first commercial-scale quantum computer. - Partner with leaders and staff across the full range of people matters
- Redesign manual processes and workflows, including with AI, to remove friction and free up the team's time
- Write clear, practical policy from scratch and keep it useful rather than bureaucratic
- Run onboarding and support relocations and mobility so both feel seamless
- Lead people intelligence and reporting work that sharpens how the function operates
- Integrate and improve the systems the people function runs on as we scale
- Design and run culture and engagement initiatives

- A genuine all-rounder, comfortable moving between very different problems
- A systems thinker who redesigns a manual process rather than repeating it
- Experience as an HR business partner, guiding managers through real people decisions
- A track record running onboarding and supporting mobility end to end
- Comfortable building with AI, designing agents and workflows that remove friction
- Able to write clear, practical policy, keeping it practical rather than bureaucratic
- Comfortable working in deeply technical organisations
- Thrives in high-accountability, fast-moving environments where the quality of your work is visible
