Civil Engineer I

• →Produce low complex, complete design calculations and assignments
• →Provide design assistance on larger and more complex assignments
• →Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies
• →Assist with drafting of plans and details for the completion of engineering drawings
• →Perform fieldwork to gather data, check tie-ins, and provide construction support
• →Develop written construction specifications that define the scope of work, provide specific instruction, and prescribe quality standards
• →Perform land development and zoning code research for civil-site development projects
• →Work with discipline lead engineer in identifying scope changes in projects
• →Review and check submittal drawings and documentation

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintaining focus and re-prioritizing as necessary to meet multiple commitments
• Knowledge and application of associated standards (ASCE, ACI, AASHTO, AREMA, NRCS, NFPA, etc.)
• Working knowledge of civil stormwater analysis software including operating and interpreting results
• Ability to actively listen and ascertain the needs of Teammates and Clients 
• Ability to work with a team to complete small and large projects
• Able to assist with the development of presentations of Hargrove Engineers & Constructors services
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.  Civil3D software is a plus
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Virtual team skills and cross divisional relationships are developed, and able to provide interoffice execution leadership and support

• Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.

• Primary location: Decatur, AL
• Additional office options: TX, LA, GA, SC, PA
• Hybrid or interoffice execution support may be available
• Relocation assistance may be offered based on role and location
