Food Service Director

FutureCare is excited to open our second location in Anne Arundel County, FutureCare Annapolis. We are looking to hire a group of outstanding leaders to help build the team that will operate this new location.   The facility is currently undergoing a multi-million-dollar upgrade project with a goal of opening for business in late spring of 2025.  FutureCare Annapolis will be licensed as a 154-bed skilled nursing facility serving the post-acute and long-term care needs of the community.  

Brand new FutureCare Annapolis is situated in the suburban Annapolis area near a development called Heritage Harbor which is just a few minutes from downtown Annapolis, Maryland and has easy access to major travel arteries.  The center provides ample parking, attractive common areas, and an expansive rehabilitation gym and suite

The salary mentioned above reflects the potential base pay range for this role. Bonuses or other incentives (if applicable) are offered separately and paid pursuant to the relevant program schedule. All employment offers will consider such factors as overall experience, job-related qualifications, location, certifications/training, etc.

• →Ensure that the food service operates within established budgetary guidelines
• →Assign, direct and supervise food service workers ·
• →Assist in the hiring, transfer, promotion, demotion, or dismissal of food service workers
• →Follow proper receiving, storage, and preparation techniques to insure that all food items are maintained at a high quality until consumed
• →Plan, implement, and review all breakfast, lunch and dinner menus
• →Prepare all local and State reports as directed or required
• →Understand and implement safety procedures as required by the Food and Safety Health department
• →Direct the expenditure of the food service budget

• Formal training (college degree preferred) in Culinary Arts or related fields
• Certified as a Dietary Manager or currently enrolled in a recognized certification course with certification being granted within 18 months of hire date
• Must be certified by the Maryland State approved sanitation program
• Must have at least two (2) years of food service management experience in the health care industry
• Previous supervisory skills and proven ability to lead and manage individuals
• Must have excellent communication skills
