HR Coordinator (Temp-to-Hire)

AArete is one-of-a-kind when it comes to consulting firm culture

We’re a global, innovative management and technology consulting firm with offices in the U.S. and India. Our name comes from the Greek word for excellence: “Areté.”  And excellence is exactly what we strive for.

We’re celebrating our fourth year as one of Forbes’ World’s Best Management Consulting Firms – and our success starts with our people. From robust career development planning to competitive life and wellness benefits, AArete’s “Culture of Care” takes a holistic approach to the employee experience.

AAretians (our team members) are leaders at every level. We are encouraged to unlock our full potential by directly contributing to our mission and prioritizing personal development and fulfillment.

The Role

AArete is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive HR Coordinator (Temporary) to support the day-to-day administrative and operational needs of our Human Resources team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional looking to gain hands-on experience across a variety of HR functions, including onboarding, benefits administration, employee support, HR operations, and employee engagement initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, highly organized, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and eager to learn. This individual will play an important role in ensuring HR processes run smoothly, employee inquiries are addressed promptly, and administrative tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.

Work You’ll Do

HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle Support

  • Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding activities, including documentation, communications, scheduling, and tracking required steps.
  • Prepare and distribute routine HR letters, forms, and employee communications using established templates.
  • Manage document distribution and electronic signatures through DocuSign, ensuring timely completion.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, HR trackers, spreadsheets, and administrative documentation.
  • Support routine HR data entry, record updates, data audits, and clean-up initiatives.

Employee Support & Benefits Administration

  • Monitor and manage the shared HR inbox, responding to routine employee inquiries and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for general HR questions, escalating more complex matters to the appropriate HR team member.
  • Provide administrative support for employee benefits, including enrollments, qualifying life events, and routine benefits inquiries.
  • Coordinate with employees, internal HR stakeholders, and external benefits vendors to facilitate timely resolution of requests.

HR Reporting & Administrative Coordination

  • Prepare basic recurring and ad hoc HR reports, compiling and organizing data to support HR initiatives.
  • Maintain Excel spreadsheets and trackers to monitor deadlines, participation, completion rates, and other HR metrics.
  • Coordinate HR meetings, employee appointments, and other activities, including calendar management, invitations, reminders, and follow-ups.
  • Proactively track outstanding action items and ensure administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.

Internship Program & HR Program Support

  • Provide coordination and administrative support for AArete's internship program, including onboarding, orientations, events, and employee communications.
  • Schedule intern check-ins, program activities, and meetings with managers and HR team members.
  • Maintain internship program trackers, attendance records, and related documentation.
  • Assist with other HR programs, projects, and time-sensitive initiatives as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 0–2 years of professional experience; internships, administrative, customer service, or coordination experience
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and service-oriented approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and basic Excel
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information with discretion
  • Strong follow-through, accountability, and willingness to take initiative
  • Adaptability and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Preferred Requirements

  • Previous internship or administrative experience in Human Resources or a related function
  • Familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS), DocuSign, or other HR technology platforms
  • Basic Excel skills, including sorting, filtering, and maintaining spreadsheets
