o   the principles and practices of public personnel policies as they affect a large urban district.

o   the current practices, methods and techniques utilized in the comprehensive recruitment and selection of qualified candidates for instructional and administrative positions.

o   comprehensive staffing and onboarding functions in a large urban organization. o supervisory methods and techniques.

o   budgetary practices and procedures.

•   Demonstrated ability to:

o   explain personnel policies and contract provisions to administrators and District personnel.

o   plan and direct departmental operations. o effectively lead and manage a work team.

o   manage and interpret data.

•   Ability to:

o   interpret all relevant District and local, state and federal regulations concerning recruitment, selection, certification, and staffing. o evaluate and assess the effectiveness and efficiency of operations.

o   communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. o establish and maintain effective working relationships.
