Ameraflex Sealing Products (ASP) is a 60-year-old well-established gasket and supply company located in Deer Park, TX that services a wide range of customers within the industrial, petrochemical and OEM markets. We supply standard and custom gaskets and related items as well as proprietary products including SEALON®. We focus on providing top-tier customer service and adding value to relationships with our customers but also reflect that effort towards our employees through providing very competitive benefits and pay.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This role is responsible for developing and expanding relationships with both new and existing customers to drive account growth.  The ideal candidate is highly motivated, results-driven, and has a demonstrated record of success in sales.  This position is onsite and does not offer a remote work arrangement.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT OR NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Be highly motivated, self-directed and customer service orientated.
  • Communicate effectively with customers via phone, written correspondence, and other methods to ensure a high level of customer service and strong client relationships.
  • Prepare clear, accurate written documentation, ensuring accurate pricing and configurations; prepare quotes for prospective customers.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to identify current needs and anticipate future opportunities.
  • Maintain customer contacts in CRM system.
  • Performs the duties of liaison between the Customer and all company departments to assure timely and professional order input and effective order management, customer interface, and shipment coordination.
  • Assists outside sales team with customer research and outbound telephone marketing. 
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Minimum one-year experience in an inside sales position in an industrial environment relating to the petrochemical and refining fields.
  • Minimum one-year of working knowledge with gaskets, seals, and hoses.
  • Basic computer skills including a working knowledge of word processing programs, spreadsheets and internet access and searching software as required.
  • Experience with Global Shop Solutions ERP a plus.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure with whole numbers, fractions and decimals in metric and English.
  • Able to compute rate, ratios, percentages and to read and comprehend technical drawings.
  • Achieve solutions to practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule formats.
  • Ability to multitask with attention to detail.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with vendors and co-workers.
  • Must be able to keep an organized work area.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment dealing with multiple people at one time.
  • Must be punctual and able to work each day.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
TRAINING:
Ameraflex will provide initial training in sales, operations, and product knowledge. Each employee will be given a handbook which outlines the company policies etc. Industry and/or Manufacturer sponsored training will take place as required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Spends most of time in an office environment. May spend some time in the warehouse and be exposed to possible warehouse hazards including heavy machinery and warehouse forklift traffic etc. Frequent sitting and operating a computer and frequent walking and standing. The work environment described here is representative of what an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
