Associa is looking for a Human Resource Business Partner to join our team. The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for managing activities of the human resource (HR) department. These responsibilities include managing HR services and assisting with policies. The HR Business Partner serves as an advocate who ensures that all company and employee interactions are handled in a fair and consistent manner. Other responsibilities may, on occasion, include recruiting, new hire orientation, employee development and training, payroll and compensation and benefit administration. The HR Business Partner may also be responsible for employee relations along with performance improvement. Additionally, the HR Business Partner is responsible for understanding and keeping abreast of compliance and other regulatory concerns.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

 

  • Ensure policies, procedures and HR programs are consistently administered, aligned with organizational goals and are in compliance with professional standards, state and federal regulatory requirements and laws.
  • Handle and complete payroll within the required processing timeframes.
  • Submit all payroll changes to Regional HR Manager on a weekly basis.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism when conducting investigations or having employee improvement conversations.
  • Conduct Interactive Process when triggered by ADA requests.
  • Respond to any subpoena requests for employee records. Defer to Regional HR Manager for any legal issues associated with the branch.
  • Provide and maintain required training on an annual basis.
  • Handle and submit any Workers Compensation claims with medical and or lost time.
  • Produce and conduct exit paperwork and interviews upon separation.
  • Handle terminations and defer to Regional HR Manager for any high-level separations. 
  • 3 – 5 years of similar HR experience
  • SHRM or PHRca preferred 

 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) at an expert level.
  • Knowledge of typical business correspondence (grammar, structure, punctuation, spelling, etc.) at an expert level.
  • Knowledge of company policies, procedures and forms at an expert level.
  • Knowledge of State or local governmental safety requirements.
  • Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques at an expert level.
  • Confidentiality and discretion in the performance of all duties and responsibilities.
  • Time management and time critical prioritization skills.
