Position Summary
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for generating new business opportunities through Aventon's business-to-business (B2B) sales channel. This role focuses on developing relationships with independent bicycle dealers, sporting goods retailers, and other qualified retail partners to expand the Aventon brand across the United States.
Serving as the first point of contact for prospective B2B partners, the BDR plays a critical role in qualifying opportunities, educating prospects on Aventon's products and programs, and supporting the sales pipeline.
Generate and qualify new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, including cold calling, email outreach, and follow-up with inbound leads.
Identify, research, and engage independent bicycle dealers, sporting goods retailers, and other potential retail partners.
Develop a thorough understanding of Aventon's products, programs, and value proposition.
Educate prospective partners on the benefits of carrying the Aventon brand and build strong business relationships.
Maintain accurate prospect and activity records in the company's CRM and other sales tools.
Collaborate with the Sales team to ensure qualified opportunities are transitioned effectively.
Support sales initiatives, promotions, trade events, and other departmental projects as needed.
Meet or exceed established activity, lead generation, and business development goals.
Previous experience in sales, customer service, account management, or business development required; B2B sales experience is strongly preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail, grammar, and professionalism.
Comfortable making outbound sales calls and building relationships with prospective customers.
Proficient with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace applications, CRM systems, web browsers, and mobile technology.
Experience with CRM platforms (such as Zendesk, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) is preferred.
Strong organizational, time management, and follow-through skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated problem-solving ability and a positive, customer-focused attitude.

Prolonged periods of sitting while working at a computer and using a telephone or headset.
Frequent use of hands and fingers to type, enter data, and operate standard office equipment.
Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, video conference, and email.
Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift or carry items weighing up to 20 pounds.
Work is performed primarily onsite at the Company's Brea, California location.
May be required to travel to dealer locations, Company events, trainings, meetings, trade shows, or other business-related functions as needed.
Regular exposure to electric bicycles (e-bikes) in office, showroom, training, and event environments.
Ability to safely operate Aventon e-bikes for product training, demonstrations, dealer visits, or Company events..
