About the Role
~1 min readBradken is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to grow our Mineral Processing business across South Africa and nearby regional markets.
Based in Johannesburg, you will manage key customer relationships, develop new opportunities and support mining customers with engineered wear solutions across grinding, fixed plant, bulk handling and conveying applications.
This role suits someone with strong technical sales experience, sound knowledge of mineral processing operations and the commercial judgement to turn customer needs into sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Build trusted customer relationships through regular site visits, technical discussions and a strong understanding of operational priorities.
- →Develop and deliver regional sales plans that support revenue, margin and market share growth.
- →Identify opportunities across existing and new accounts, using market insight and customer feedback to shape practical sales strategies.
- →Work collaboratively with engineering, product, manufacturing and supply chain teams to develop fit-for-purpose customer solutions.
- →Lead commercial discussions and strategic supply opportunities with clear communication, sound judgement and a focus on long-term value.
- →Maintain accurate forecasts, pipeline activity and market intelligence in Salesforce to support informed business decisions.
- →Maintain disciplined CRM practices including opportunity management.
- →Monitor customer performance, competitor activity and regional market conditions to identify risks and emerging opportunities.
- →Drive customer issues through to resolution by coordinating the right technical and operational support across the business.
- →Own regional sales budgets, forecasts and profitability targets.
- →Monitor pricing strategies and ensure commercial decisions align with Bradken profitability objectives.
- At least five years of experience in mining, mineral processing or a related heavy industrial market.
- Experience in technical sales, account management or business development.
- A qualification or practical background in engineering, mining, extractive metallurgy, mineral processing, business or a relevant trade.
- Sound knowledge of mineral processing equipment, wear performance and plant operating conditions.
- The ability to interpret engineering drawings and discuss technical requirements with customers and internal specialists.
- Experience preparing sales plans, budgets, forecasts and commercial proposals.
- Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, margin and contract considerations.
- Willingness to travel regularly to customer and mine sites across the region.
