About the Role

~1 min read

We are seeking a high-growth Business Development Representative in Sydney who is inspired by our mission and ready to aggressively own our core strategic acquisition outcomes over the next 6–12 months. In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the AU Country Manager/Co-founder and serve as the driving force behind our outbound market expansion.

Accelerate Sleek’s market share in Australia by hunting, negotiating, and closing high-impact strategic partnerships. In this pure-play outbound acquisition role, you will focus relentlessly on the top of the funnel—identifying, pitching, and securing new high-performing alliances and distribution channels that yield immediate, scalable customer acquisition.

  • Pipeline Generation & Hunting: Proactively prospect, qualify, and build a robust, high-velocity pipeline of potential partners across Australia’s Fintech, eCommerce, and tech ecosystems to drive continuous top-of-funnel growth.
  • Partner Acquisition & Scale: Identify, pitch, and onboard strategic partners capable of driving an initial 15+ net-new customers/month within the first 3 months, scaling toward 60+ net-new customers/month by Month 12.
  • Commercial Deal Structuring: Lead end-to-end commercial discussions—from initial pitch to contract execution—structuring mutually beneficial agreements that optimize revenue share and accelerate market penetration.
  • Partner Activation & GTM: Work closely with internal sales and marketing teams to swiftly launch and enable newly signed partners, ensuring immediate referral velocity, active tracking, and strong ROI on all strategic alliances.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hunter experience in business development, corporate sales, or outbound partnerships within a fast-paced Fintech, SaaS, or tech startup environment.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding aggressive KPIs and targets for outbound partner acquisition, pipeline generation, and partner-led revenue.
  • Hands-on acquisition experience unlocking SMB or mid-market customer segments by identifying, pitching, and executing strategic channels, alliances, and indirect distribution models.
  • Proactive networking skills with a strong drive to identify and engage key decision-makers across Australia’s SME hubs, accelerators, Fintech circles, and eCommerce networks (an active local network is a strong plus).
  • Strong commercial acumen with the confidence to pitch complex value propositions, navigate objections, and negotiate commercial agreements through to closing.

Behavioural fit is also important at Sleek, and we will be looking for candidates who have a proven track record of embodying the following attributes in their recent roles:

A ~30-minute screening call with a member of our Talent Acquisition team to discuss your background, evaluate mutual fit for the role, address expectations, and answer your questions.

A ~60 minute Interview with our Australia Country Head

A ~60 minute Interview with our Chief Revenue Officer

Prior to final offer confirmation, we will conduct one professional reference check with your recent direct manager or supervisor. To keep the process moving smoothly, this step may be initiated during the final interview stages.
