Responsibilities

The LATAM Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth for Hamilton products across Brazil, Rest of South America (ROSA), and North Latin America (Mexico, Central America and Islands). This role leads regional sales execution through subsidiaries and distribution partners and reports to the Director of International Sales.  The position is ideally based out of the Brazil subsidiary.

 

  • Lead and execute sales strategy for all Hamilton products across the LATAM region.
  • Coordinate sales activities and projects spanning Robotics and Storage solutions.
  • Develop and implement annual regional business plans and sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Conduct annual business reviews and monitor performance against objectives.
  • Set objectives and provide leadership, coaching, training, and performance management for direct and distributor sales teams, support and coach regional sales managers.
  • Review sales opportunities and pipeline activity weekly using CRM systems (HubSpot).
  • Develop dashboards, performance metrics, and management reports.
  • Define key account strategies, customer profiles, and action plans.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and headcount planning for the sales organization.
  • Evaluate sales performance and recommend organizational improvements.
  • Build and maintain executive-level customer relationships across the region.
  • Support key projects, including quote review and customer negotiations.
  • Coordinate technical resources and support project configuration reviews.
  • Develop and manage distribution strategies; assess distributor performance.
  • Monitor competitive activity and market trends.
  • Partner with Product Management, Marketing, and Service teams to align regional initiatives.
  • Support and participate in trade shows, conferences, seminars, and webinars.
  • Provide monthly rolling forecasts to the Director of International Sales.

Requirements

  • Proven commitment to quality and customer-focused execution.
  • Experience in both field-based and corporate sales environments.
  • Ability to train non-technical personnel on complex technical products.
  • Strong safety awareness, including working with hazardous chemical or biological environments.
  • Proficiency in learning and adopting new systems and tools.
  • Solid understanding of liquid handling technologies and related markets.
  • Strong leadership and people development capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute and adapt in dynamic environments.
  • Highly organized, goal-oriented, and results-driven.
  • Valid driver’s license, passport, and ability to travel as required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; preference for Engineering or Life Sciences, advanced degree (MBA) a plus.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in life sciences, automation, or laboratory equipment sales.
  • Demonstrated success leading sales teams & sales managers and managing distributors.
  • Strong track record in capital equipment sales.
  • Experience using CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, or equivalent).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
