The ASSISTANT KITCHEN MANAGER/SOUS CHEF is a leadership position within our organization that provides direct support to both the Kitchen Manager/Chef and Managing Partner in their efforts to maintain efficient restaurant operations. The Assistant Kitchen Manager will participate in direct oversight of all BOH functions and maintain a significant role in mentoring a strong BOH team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability to perform a wide variety of tasks while enforcing all company policies and procedures. All our leaders are expected to lead by example, promote a strong positive culture and demonstrate an eagerness to grow and develop with our company. Requisite necessary skills include organization, communication (internally & with vendors), inventory management, tech savvy, and the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Must be an ambassador of our mission and core values
- Ensure all food meets food safety and quality standards to eliminate cross-contamination on the front line
- Food Manager Protection Certification
- Accurately and faithfully completes daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance lists
- Oversee, implement and rollout all operations/new recipes/menus/training
- Ability to delegate, provide direction and see tasks to completion
- Willingness to learn and mentor others in gained knowledge
- Effective communication skills
- Enforce all policies, coach all procedures, and foster a positive culture for all team members
- Maintain Budgeting and financial responsibilities
- Comfort with technology, learning new platforms and a keen attention to detail
