About Circle Cardiovascular Imaging:

Circle’s vision is to enable healthier Lives through better imaging by transforming cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MR) and other advanced imaging technologies to improve Cardiovascular Care. Circle Cardiovascular’s 'cvi42' is the Cardiac MR market leader imaging processing software.

Circle Cardiovascular Imaging (Circle) designs, builds, and implements the best-in-class cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging solutions. At the heart of everything we do is our unrelenting drive to continually offer better solutions for healthcare providers that improve healthcare outcomes. This fuels our creativity, informs our decisions and it is the reason we are passionate about our work and most importantly why we are successful. We are careful stewards of resources focused on optimizing both customer and investor value. We strive to make Circle a place where employees are highly valued, engaged, and have opportunities for professional development. Our roots are medical and digital, our passion is contagious, and our people are amongst the best.

Position Overview:

The Account Sales Executive (ASE) for the Outpatient Imaging & Physician Office Market is a specialized, quota-carrying role dedicated 100% to the US outpatient segment: independent and freestanding imaging centers (IDTFs), hospital-affiliated outpatient imaging, and private cardiology and physician practices. These accounts are independent businesses that must generate revenue, win physician referrals, and protect margin, so the segment is economically very different from the hospital market. The ASE sells the same Circle platforms as our geography-based ASEs (CMR, CCT, SHD, and EP) but wins by speaking the buyer’s language: reimbursement, referral growth, throughput, differentiation, and return on investment. The ideal candidate pairs genuine cardiovascular imaging fluency with real business acumen, understands how an imaging center or cardiology practice is paid and who its customers are, and can show how Circle’s applications, especially coronary CTA with AI-based plaque quantification, unlock new billable service lines and a measurable financial case for adoption. The role is measured on sales results.

Understanding the Outpatient Customer: Economics & Value Positioning

Success depends on understanding how these accounts run as businesses and how Circle creates financial value for them. The ASE must be fluent in, and able to sell against, the realities of the segment:

  • How they get paid. Freestanding centers and office-based practices are largely fee-for-service, billing per study under the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule and commercial equivalents, generally at lower rates than the hospital OPPS setting. The ASE must understand technical, professional, and global billing and how reimbursement shapes what a center can afford and where it makes money.
  • New billable service lines. Coronary CTA (CCTA) with AI-based quantitative plaque analysis now carries established CPT codes and Medicare payment, so Circle becomes a source of incremental revenue rather than pure cost. The ASE must be able to build the per-study and annual revenue case.
  • Who their customers are. Unlike a hospital, the outpatient center’s customer is the referring physician who sends patients, and for cardiology practices their own panel. Referral capture and retention is the lifeblood of the business, and the ASE must position Circle to win and keep referrers through faster, more advanced reporting.
  • How they compete. Centers compete with the local hospital and each other on turnaround, service, advanced capability, and referring-physician experience. The ASE must turn Circle’s advanced cardiac imaging into a competitive advantage for the account.
  • Return on investment. The ASE must independently build a credible ROI case covering incremental reimbursement, new volume, throughput and read-time gains, payback period, and downstream referral value, and present it to an owner or administrator who thinks like a business owner.
  • Ownership and buying models. The segment ranges from single physician-owners who decide quickly to practice administrators, MSOs, multi-site imaging groups, and private-equity-backed platforms that buy centrally. The ASE must find the real economic decision-maker and run both fast single-site deals and structured multi-site agreements.

General Responsibilities:

  • Own a US outpatient territory of imaging centers, IDTFs, and private cardiology and physician practices, prospecting and closing new business while expanding Circle across CMR, CCT, SHD, and EP, with a strong emphasis on CCTA-driven opportunities.
  • Lead the full sales cycle, engaging physician-owners, practice administrators, lead cardiologists and radiologists, and platform or MSO executives, and bringing in Circle’s Clinical Application Specialist (CAS) team for deeper technical and workflow discovery.
  • Build and present the financial and clinical business case, quantifying incremental reimbursement, new billable service lines (CCTA plaque analysis), throughput, and ROI, tailored to each account’s economics and reimbursement setting.
  • Help accounts stand up and grow advanced cardiac service lines, positioning Circle as the enabler of new revenue and a tool to win and retain referring physicians.
  • Map and engage the outpatient decision-making unit (owner, practice or office manager, billing and operations, referring physicians, and IT) and navigate single-site, multi-site, and PE or MSO buying structures to secure contracts.
  • Deliver pre-sales demonstrations online, at congresses, and on-site, covering the core aspects of Circle’s applications, and partner with the CAS team for in-depth, workflow-specific demonstrations.
  • Work with the Marketing Demand Generation Manager to align outreach with marketing programs and generate pipeline in the segment, and provide regular forecasts and market feedback to sales management.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets, continuously building product, clinical, and reimbursement knowledge and staying current with CPT coding, Medicare payment changes, competitor activity, and consolidation and private-equity dynamics.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Proven track record in a quota-carrying sales role, ideally selling into outpatient imaging centers, IDTFs, or private physician and cardiology practices; medical device, imaging, or healthcare software sales strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of US outpatient reimbursement (Medicare Physician Fee Schedule versus hospital OPPS; technical, professional, and global billing; CPT coding; the economics of fee-for-service imaging), or the clear ability to learn and sell it quickly.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to independently build and present an ROI and revenue case to physician-owners and administrators who think like business owners.
  • Understanding of referral-driven practice economics, including how centers and cardiology offices attract and retain referring physicians, and how to position Circle to strengthen that base.
  • Cardiovascular imaging fluency, ideally as a technologist, clinical applications specialist, or vendor representative, with the credibility to independently lead a conversation on CCTA, plaque analysis, and core Circle workflows.
  • Ability to navigate diverse buying structures, from single physician-owners and administrators to multi-site groups, MSOs, and PE-backed platforms, running both fast single-site deals and structured multi-site agreements.
  • Strong negotiation and closing instincts, and strong presentation and communication skills, articulating clinical value and business impact to clinical, non-clinical, and business-owner audiences.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, bio-engineering, IT, or a related area; equivalent experience as an imaging technologist, a clinical or vendor specialist in cardiovascular imaging, or in outpatient imaging sales will also be considered.
