The West Sales Manager is responsible for leading and developing a high-performing B2B sales team focused on growing Circle K's fleet and commercial customer portfolio across the Western United States. This role drives new customer acquisition, portfolio growth, fuel volume, and customer retention while supporting Circle K's overall business objectives.

As a sales leader, the West Sales Manager partners closely with Business Unit leadership, Fuel Directors, Operations teams, Marketing, and the broader B2B organization to execute growth strategies and deliver profitable results. The position reports to the Senior National Sales Manager and plays a critical role in advancing Circle K's commercial fleet, fuel card, and business solutions strategy.


This role requires extensive travel throughout the assigned territory and a strong commitment to coaching, customer engagement, and field-based leadership.



  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales professionals to achieve and exceed sales and profitability objectives.
  • Drive performance against monthly, quarterly, and annual key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Implement and reinforce standardized sales processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular field travel, ride-along, and coaching sessions to support team development and execution excellence.

  • Responsible for achieving territory sales and growth targets.
  • Drive new customer acquisition and portfolio expansion within fleet, trucking, and commercial customer segments.
  • Identify market opportunities and develop strategic plans to increase fuel volume, card adoption, and customer engagement.
  • Support customer retention efforts through relationship management and value-based selling.
  • Leverage market intelligence, analytics, and competitive insights to optimize sales performance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop solutions that address customer needs and drive long-term growth.

  • Partner with Business Unit Fuel Directors, Market Managers, and Operations leadership to support regional growth initiatives.
  • Work closely with Inside Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and other cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Promote a One Team approach that aligns commercial sales efforts with broader Circle K business objectives.
  • Support strategic initiatives, pilot programs, and growth opportunities across the Western Business Units.

  • Develop and execute regional sales plans aligned with company objectives.
  • Monitor business performance and recommend actions to improve results.
  • Ensure consistent pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and sales reporting through CRM tools and systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement through data-driven decision-making and disciplined execution

Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and through virtual meeting platforms.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move items up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to travel frequently, including air and ground transportation.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience will be considered.

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive B2B sales experience, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales growth and delivering results in a performance-driven environment.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing remote sales teams.
  • Fleet, fuel card, transportation, convenience retail, payments, mobility, or related industry experience preferred.
  • Experience managing strategic customer relationships and complex sales opportunities.

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results through influence, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and business acumen with the ability to translate data into action.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms, sales technologies, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory.
