Responsibilities

The Compensation Specialist assists HR leadership in planning, developing and implementing new and revised compensation programs and policies/procedures to align with the organization’s goals and competitive practices. Assists leadership in conducting detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis on the organization’s compensation practice. Assists in the administration of compensation plans in compliance with internal policies and government regulations. Develop and maintain relationships with all levels of management. Applies understanding of the business environment, industry strategies, organizational structures and compensation practices in order to effectively conduct compensation tasks.

  • Assists in the development, implementation and administration of compensation programs with a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion as well as pay equity.
  • Collects data to participate in salary surveys and monitors salary survey data to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved.
  • Reviews existing compensation practices and provides HR leadership with data so that recommendations can be made that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and strategic objectives.
  • Provides analytical, technical, and operational support to the HR team by leveraging data from various sources. Maintain data integrity and audit Compensation related data, ensuring data usability/reliability.
  • Assists HR Leadership in the design of creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs and incentive plans. Develops techniques for compiling, preparing and presenting data.
  • Collaborates with the recruiting team assisting with compensation and recruiting related tasks.
  • Regularly review any compliance updates for all activities related to compensation and relevant areas, including regular review and assessment of state and federal laws that compensation, incentive compensation, bonus programs, job description requirements, etc.  Ensure that all compensation practices are compliant, efficient, and effective, supporting the organization's strategic goals.
  • Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required. Field of Study: Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in Human Resources, specifically in Compensation or education equivalent. Financial industry a plus.
  • Certifications: Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred.  CCP must be obtained within 2 years.
  • Computer Skills: Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) required.

The estimated salary for this role is $31.93 to $38.32 per hour. (FourLeaf Federal Credit Union offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage; life and disability insurance; voluntary benefit programs; a 401(k) plan with employer match; reimbursement and wellness programs; and an annual performance-based bonus.) In addition to the salary or hourly rate listed above there may be other compensation & benefits available.
