Manager, Business Development (GEGM Broking)

About the Job

Establishing, developing, maintaining and servicing broking business and to assist in the smooth flow of the department on Brokers.

·       To develop broking business through new and existing brokers.

·       To maintain existing business through effective regular monitoring and servicing.

·       Be an effective contact for brokers in relation to all matters i.e underwriting support, claims and processing.

·       To carry out preliminary underwriting and develop quotations, with underwriting assistance.

·       To ensure efficiency of work and timeliness of documentation.

·       To ensure accounts and statements are up to date.

·       To carry out any other work assigned from time to time.

·       To provide excellent and professional customer service.

·       Premium collection as per guideline.

·       All other jobs to be assigned on as and when required

We are looking for people who

• Possess a qualification in commerce or insurance, with professional certifications being highly desirable.

•  A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in insurance broking, underwriting, or risk advisory is required, with added value placed on experience in general insurance products. 

• The role demands strong knowledge of insurance products, underwriting principles, and broking practices, along with excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office and insurance management systems, an analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively are essential.

•  Familiarity with insurance regulations and a client-centric approach are also key to success in this position.
