This role is an individual contributor role responsible for supporting the Sales and Strategic Account Management organization across both carrier and distributor relationships. This position provides operational coordination, account administration, reporting, client meeting support, lead generation, and sales support activities.
This individual plays a key role in maintaining account health, driving responsiveness, supporting business development efforts, and ensuring client commitments and internal action items are completed effectively and on time. This role serves as an entry point into both the Sales and Account Management career paths, providing broad exposure to client relationship management, pipeline generation, business operations, and commercial growth initiatives. This individual will help maintain a high level of organization and responsiveness across the account management portfolio while developing the skills necessary for future advancement into client-facing sales and account management roles.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Support Carrier Account Managers and Strategic Account Managers in managing assigned carrier and distributor relationships.
- →Coordinate client meetings, prepare agendas and materials, document meeting notes, and track follow-up actions.
- →Maintain accurate account, opportunity, activity, and contact records within Salesforce.
- →Track client commitments, deliverables, production support issues, implementation activities, and internal action items to ensure timely resolution.
- →Prepare account reports, account health summaries, client activity reports, ticket summaries, and executive-ready presentations.
- →Assist with client visits, conferences, strategic planning sessions, and meeting logistics.
- →Qualify inbound leads and route opportunities to the appropriate sales or account management resource.
- →Support outbound lead generation activities, marketing campaigns, prospect outreach, and event follow-up efforts designed to drive pipeline growth.
- →Participate in prospect discovery calls, demonstrations, and sales follow-up activities as needed.
- →Build and maintain Salesforce reports, dashboards, and data integrity to support business development and account management activities.
- →Develop strong working relationships across Sales, Marketing, Product, Client Delivery, Production Support, Operations, and other internal teams.
- →Respond promptly to client and internal requests while maintaining a high level of organization, professionalism, and customer service.
- →Support special projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
~1 min read- Minimum of 1-3 years of professional experience in account coordination, customer success, client service, project coordination, operations, insurance, financial services, SaaS, or related fields
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel
- Experience using Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms preferred
- Able to build effective relationships and collaborate across teams
- Knowledge of life insurance, annuities, financial services, or InsureTech is preferred
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer-service orientation with a focus on responsiveness and follow-through
- Able to travel up to 5% of the time for team meetings, strategic planning activities, client visits, and industry events
What We Offer
~1 min readThe base salary range for this role is $60,000 to $70,000.This position is paid on an hourly basis and is classified as non-exempt. Employees in this role are eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable law. iCapital offers a compensation package that includes equity for all full-time employees and an annual performance bonus.
