As a Senior Data Engineer Sales and Marketing Forecast on our Corporate team, you’ll play a vital part in building the frameworks, relationships, and processes that keep Infineon’s Business thriving. Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
The Global Sales and Marketing forecasting team is building a dedicated ML solution to transform forecasting into a strategic, data-driven product that boosts Infineon’s enterprise planning capabilities by improving accuracy, transparency, and trust. You will work at the intersection of advanced machine learning and real business decisions, collaborating with planners, domain experts, and IT to operationalize forecasting solutions, evolve models, and ensure adoption through explainability and clear governance.
* Design, build, deploy, and operate reliable data pipelines that serve as the foundation for analytics and machine learning driven solutions for Sales and Marketing Forecasting.
* Drive centralized data initiatives in close collaboration with Data Scientists, Data Analysts, domain experts, and IT to deliver high-quality data products
* Take ownership of end-to-end data products and ensure data quality, stability, and reliability through monitoring, validation, automation, and continuous improvement.
* Support the operationalization of analytical and ML solutions by enabling reproducible executions, well‑defined interfaces, and dependable data flows.
* Stay up to date with industry trends in data engineering, cloud platforms, and data infrastructure, and proactively evaluate their applicability in an enterprise context
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
We're looking for a collaborative problem-solver who thrives in cross-functional environments and has a passion for driving innovation through data. Strong communication skills and an entrepreneurial mindset will be key to your success in this role.
* Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
* First work experience in data engineering / MLOps and DevOps/DataOps, including design and implementation of data-driven solutions using tools like Git, CI/CD, Jenkins, Denodo, Dataiku, Airflow, and Mage AI
* Solid understanding of concepts in the following areas: Data Architectures, Data Pipelines, Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, Data Quality, Data Security
* Proficiency in Python, relational and distributed data storage (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, HDFS), API‑based data integration, and suitable query languages (e.g., SQL, Spark)
* Experience with enterprise data access, virtualization, orchestration, or analytics platforms (e.g. Denodo, Dataiku, or similar tools) is a plus
* Experience in the latest toolsets and trends on data ingestion, storage, ETL, integration and modeling (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Impala, Hive, Kafka, Openshift)
* Fluency in English
