About the opportunity
The Business Development Representative will work closely with our Sales Team and report to the Sales Director. You will be responsible for building our client portfolio by promoting the Company’s financing solutions to small and mid-sized businesses across Canada. You will be responsible for assisting other team members, helping manage their accounts, and providing ongoing support as needed.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute daily and weekly outreach activities to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Contact new, existing, and inactive clients to identify financing needs and generate opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while proactively identifying future capital requirements.
- Collect and review required documentation to support funding applications and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with Sales, Risk, and Operations teams to ensure efficient processing of client files.
- Support Account Executives by qualifying opportunities and helping move deals through the sales pipeline.
- Maintain accurate client records and activity tracking within CRM systems.
- Monitor sales performance, provide progress updates, and contribute to achieving team objectives.
- Complete administrative tasks related to prospect and client file management.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the Revenue team and overall business goals.
What you’re bringing to the table
Alongside unwavering ethical principles and can do attitude, you showcase :
- An undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of sales experience, ideally within the Financial Services industry
- Strong organizational and data entry skills
- Knowledge of a language other than French is required for this position due to the nature of the duties, which involve regular communication with clients, partners, or stakeholders who do not speak French.
