Responsibilities

  • Manage key national customer relationships and serve as the primary point of contact.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive retention and growth.
  • Lead customer business reviews, commercial discussions, and contract negotiations.
  • Build strong relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders.
  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities.
  • Prospect for new customers and expand existing accounts through consultative selling.
  • Understand customer requirements and collaborate with internal teams to deliver appropriate solutions.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts.
  • Drive profitable revenue growth through value-based sales strategies.
  • Monitor market trends, customer requirements, and competitive activity.
  • Develop market and account strategies in collaboration with leadership.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, and other teams.
  • Represent the customer's needs internally while ensuring commitments are effectively supported.
  • Travel approximately 25–40% for customer meetings, trade shows, industry events, and internal meetings.
  • Visit the manufacturing facility approximately 1–2 times per month to maintain alignment with operational teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 5–8+ years of experience in national account management, sales, business development, or a related commercial role.
  • Experience within energy, electrical, wire, cable, utility, or industrial markets strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing strategic accounts and developing new business.
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales and technical products or solutions.
  • Manufacturing and cross-functional collaboration experience preferred.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong commercial, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required.
