We are looking for a professional with a solid commercial orientation, entrepreneurial spirit and great ability to develop strategic relationships, who will lead the growth of Reed & Mackay's Congress, Meetings & Events (M&E) business in Spain.
The main mission of the position will be to identify, develop and convert new business opportunities, driving both the growth of our current client portfolio and the acquisition of new clients in the Congresses, Corporate Events, Conventions, Incentives and Meetings Management segments.
Working closely with the commercial, account management and operational areas of Reed & Mackay and Navan, this person will be responsible for opening new commercial relationships in the Spanish market, directly contributing to the profitable growth of the company.
This is a strategic and highly visible position within the organisation, ideal for a person who enjoys developing business, building trust with high-level interlocutors and transforming customer needs into high value-added solutions. We are looking for someone capable of combining commercial vision, knowledge of the Congresses and Events market and a clear focus on results to accelerate our growth ambition in Spain.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Drive revenue growth in the areas of Congress, Meetings & Events (M&E) within Reed & Mackay's existing portfolios of Business Travel clients and Navan's clients in Spain.
- →Identify, qualify and close new business opportunities in Congresses, Conventions, Corporate Events, Incentives and Meetings Management, collaborating closely with Account Managers, Customer Success Managers and commercial teams.
- →Develop new business opportunities through active prospecting, networking, referrals, marketing actions and leveraging the existing network of relationships.
- →Build strategic and consultative relationships with key decision-makers, from event, marketing, purchasing and professional associations to members of senior management, understanding their objectives and positioning Reed & Mackay solutions as a strategic partner.
- →To lead the attraction of business in the Congress and Association market, identifying opportunities with scientific societies, professional organizations, federations and entities in the corporate and institutional sphere.
- →Collaborate with the operational, congress, events and production teams to ensure a differential value proposition, a smooth transition during the sales process and an excellent customer experience.
- →Design and present business proposals, presentations and responses to RFPs that reflect Reed & Mackay's capabilities in Congresses, Meetings & Events.
- →Maintain rigorous management of the commercial pipeline, sales forecasts and follow-up of opportunities through Salesforce, ensuring the reliability of business forecasts.
- →Represent Reed & Mackay in commercial meetings, presentations, tenders, sector congresses and networking events, strengthening the brand's positioning in the market.
- →Contribute to the development of commercial strategies, marketing materials and value propositions that reinforce Reed & Mackay's differentiation in the Congress and M&E markets.
- →Lead the commercial strategy of the assigned opportunities, maintaining continuous communication with the client throughout the sales, design and negotiation cycle.
- →Ensure compliance with credit, contracting, compliance and financial risk management policies associated with clients and projects raised.
- →Prepare and supervise contracts, commercial agreements and administrative processes related to the opening and management of new accounts.
- →Apply a data-driven approach to managing the commercial portfolio, analysing indicators of activity, conversion, profitability and growth potential by client and project.
- →Work together with the global and regional teams of Reed & Mackay and Navan to identify cross-selling opportunities, large international accounts and strategic projects.
- →Develop and maintain a strong network of contacts in the corporate, pharmaceutical, partnership, technology and other strategic segments, acting as an ambassador for Reed & Mackay in the Spanish market.
Requirements

- Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and close new opportunities in both existing and new client portfolios.
- Active contact portfolio
- Excellent communicator and presenter, sure to involve both decision-makers and operational actors.
- Collaborative, adaptable, and energized by working cross-functionally within a hybrid global environment.
- Trade-oriented, with a consultative approach and data-driven decision-making.
- Passionate about live events, customer experience, and the role of Meetings & Events in driving business growth.
- Excited to be part of a newly IPO organization with significant room for innovation and expansion.
- Availability to travel.
- Knowledge of the Pharma sector.
- Experience in medical associations.
- Experience in international congresses.
- CRM Salesforce.
- Knowledge of public and private tenders.
- €2 M - €3 M new recruitment.
- Active pipeline greater than €5 million.
- Minimum conversion rate of 25-30%.
- Opening of 15-20 new strategic accounts.
