Role:  Business Development Representative  60786230373

Priority Location: South Africa

Working Hours: 40 hours per week (Mon - Fri) EST

Salary Range: $2,200 - $3,300 USD ($) per month (The final offer is at the client’s discretion and depends on the candidate’s interview result, skills, and experience.)

About the Role:

The Business Development Representative will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and supporting the organization's growth objectives.

This is not a junior SDR position. The client is looking for an experienced BDR who can quickly integrate into an existing sales methodology, execute consistently, and contribute to pipeline generation with minimal handholding.

The successful candidate will work closely with leadership and participate in daily sales stand-ups while owning outbound prospecting, relationship development, and opportunity creation activities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute outbound prospecting campaigns across multiple channels
  • Identify and qualify prospective clients
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline
  • Book qualified meetings for senior leadership
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and activity tracking
  • Participate in daily sales meetings and reporting
  • Follow established outreach methodologies and processes
  • Collaborate with leadership on pipeline strategy
  • Consistently achieve outreach and pipeline KPIs
  • Use Google Alerts and similar sources to find relevant news, like:
    • higher ed news
    • new program launches
    • institution names
  • Craft personalized outreach based on that context, for example:
    • contacting a Dean after a new business program launch
    • pitching interviews for a study
    • inviting people onto a podcast
 

Required Qualification & Skills:

  • 3+ years of BDR, SDR, or business development experience
  • Proven track record of generating qualified opportunities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working within structured sales processes
  • Comfortable with outbound prospecting and relationship building
  • Self-motivated and results-driven
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • HubSpot experience preferred
