~1 min readAs a Technical Outside Sales Representative, you will work directly with engineers, operators, and superintendents at water utilities. Your role combines technical expertise with consultative selling:
- →Conduct engineering calls and on-site visits
- →Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations
- →Size equipment accurately for specific applications
- →Troubleshoot existing systems and recommend optimal solutions
- →Build long-term trusted advisor relationships by genuinely solving problems
You will sell and support a strong portfolio of pumps, valves, meters, and related water infrastructure products.
We're looking for a smart, hungry, and humble technical sales professional who thrives in complex, solution-oriented environments:
- 3+ years of proven outside technical sales experience (pumps, valves, meters, or closely related water/utility products strongly preferred)
- Engineering background or strong technical aptitude, you enjoy diving into specifications, sizing, and system challenges
- Ability to confidently present to technical audiences and break down complex concepts clearly
- Self-motivated with a strong drive to win and a genuine curiosity for how things work
- Excellent communicator who listens first, builds trust fast, and follows through relentlessly
- Humble enough to ask questions, learn continuously, and put the customer and team first

Compensation
- Base Salary: $70,000+
- On-Target Earnings (OTE): $130,000 – $150,000+ (uncapped)
Top performers who consistently deliver strong technical solutions and close business will have significant earning potential.
