Starface is seeking an Account Manager to help bring day-to-day account management in-house across our Drug, Specialty, and Beauty channels, building stronger direct retailer relationships and creating greater ownership, consistency, and accountability across the business. In this role, you’ll report directly to our Account Director. You’ll own the day-to-day management of some key retail accounts (e.g. Walgreens, CVS) and collaborate with the Account Director in supporting others (e.g. Ulta). both owning and supporting (but not limited to) retailer communication, sales reporting and forecasting, promotional and launch execution, and cross-functional follow-up
The right person for this role is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable independently owning their business while collaborating closely across teams. You have experience supporting or managing retail accounts within beauty, CPG, wellness, or another fast-paced consumer products environment and understand the details that go into successfully managing retail partnerships.

- Own day-to-day communication and account management across key Drug, Specialty, and Beauty retail partners, both directly and in collaboration with our Drug, Specialty, and Beauty Account Director
- Build strong, direct relationships with retailer contacts and serve as a reliable point of contact for both external partners and internal teams
- Own accurate sales reporting and use POS and retailer data to understand account performance, identify opportunities, and proactively flag risks
- Support forecasting and account planning by maintaining accurate account-level information, communicating changes, and partnering closely with internal teams to keep priorities aligned
- Manage promotional execution and tracking, including supporting new product launches, retail activations, and retailer commitments
- Prepare for and support retailer meetings and line reviews, including coordinating materials, follow-up, and next steps
- Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, and S&OP to ensure account priorities, launches, promotions, inventory needs, and retailer commitments stay aligned
- Proactively identify account challenges, trends, and opportunities, surface recommendations, and follow through on agreed-upon next steps
- Maintain a strong understanding of retailer-specific processes, tools, promotional calendars, assortment, and upcoming launches
- While this is a remote position, you will be expected to attend in-person meetings in the local Chicago, IL area + travel 10-20% for company and team-specific off-sites and events.
- You have experience supporting or managing retail accounts within beauty, CPG, wellness, or another fast-paced consumer products environment
- You have direct experience working directly with CVS and/or Walgreens without a broker; experience with Ulta and/or specialty retailers is a plus
- You understand core retail account management fundamentals, including POS, forecasting, promotional planning, assortment, new item launches, resets, inventory, and retailer tools or portals
- You’re highly organized and detail-oriented, with an understanding that accuracy matters when working across POs, forecasting, sales reporting, and retailer commitments
- You’re proactive and comfortable independently managing day-to-day responsibilities, identifying issues before they escalate, and following through on commitments
- You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly and approach challenges with a solutions-oriented mindset
- You’re curious about the “why” behind the business and use data and context to understand what is driving performance, where risks exist, and where opportunities may be
- You’re a collaborative partner who communicates clearly, works effectively across teams and levels, and is willing to jump in where needed
- You’re comfortable speaking up, asking thoughtful questions, and bringing a fresh perspective while remaining open to different ideas and ways of working
- You are located in the Chicago, IL area.
