The Simonds story all started in 1949 with a passionate family man, Gary Simonds. He envisioned a builder that Australians could rely on to guide them through the process of crafting their perfect home. This vision remains at the heart of Simonds today with our commitment to making the Great Australian Dream a reality by placing home ownership within Australia’s reach.
Becoming part of Team Simonds means becoming part of the family. Our people are the heart of what we do. Our homes are built for the community, by the community, with a local network of employees, trades and suppliers all working towards this vision. It is this passion, dedication, and excellence that you will find on every Simonds job site, office, and display centre across the country. Today, we stand proudly as an ASX listed & leading national builder servicing customers across Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia.
Simonds has helped shape Australia. Few can say that. Whether we’re looking back at the homes of yesteryear, what we’re building now, or everything that’s still to come. We’ve not only shaped what Australia looks like, but more importantly, how Australia homes.
We are seeking a motivated and driven Sales Cadet to join our team, working from our beautiful display homes in the Lucas Estate, Ballarat. This cadetship opportunity will place the successful applicant on a clear succession pathway to becoming a fully-fledged Sales Consultant with Simonds Homes.
To support you on that journey, we’ll provide on-the-job training, secondment opportunities, and mentoring from some of Australia’s top sales professionals.
This is a full-time opportunity, and the successful candidate will be required to work weekends. Typical working days will be Wednesday to Sunday, with Monday and Tuesday off.
Some responsibilities of a Sales Cadet include, but are not limited to:
- Facilitating the purchase of Simonds homes from initial enquiry through to contract issuance
- Establishing new sales networks to help increase sales opportunities
- Accurately recording lead details within our CRM software, HubSpot
- Providing an exceptionally high level of customer service at all times
- Attending events such as sales launches and developer functions
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Driven to become a top-tier sales professional
- Able to build rapport and trust quickly with a diverse client base
- A confident communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
- IT literate, particularly across the Microsoft Office suite
- Highly resilient, adaptable, and self-motivated
- Available to work weekends and public holidays
- Able to travel across the regional area to multiple displays and offices as required
- Holds a valid driver’s licence
