SalesAccount Manager

We’re looking for a motivated Account Manager to join our SMB Account Management team in New York City.

Base salary: $73,000 + $30,000 On-Target Commission (OTC)
On-Target Earnings (OTE): $103,000

Embark on an exciting career with WGSN, where we offer dynamic opportunities for growth and development in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. We are looking for talented Sales and Account Management professionals to join our team and help drive success by delivering WGSN’s trusted insights to our global clients.

As part of our team, you'll work with a diverse group of experts—from trend forecasters and data analysts to designers and content creators—all united by a common goal: to shape the future of design and innovation. You’ll help clients navigate trends across industries including consumer tech, beauty, fashion, interiors and lifestyle, empowering them to create outstanding products.

At WGSN, we believe in the power of consumer and design forecasts to transform businesses. If you have a passion for building strong client relationships, driving commercial growth and helping customers get greater value from the products they use, we want to hear from you.
Join us at WGSN and take your career in Sales and Account Management to the next level while contributing to the creation of tomorrow's groundbreaking products and services.

In this role, you’ll manage a portfolio of small and medium-sized business (SMB) clients with lower contract values, taking ownership of their renewal, retention and growth with WGSN.

This is a high-volume account management role, so being organized, commercially focused and comfortable managing multiple priorities at once will be critical. You’ll oversee a larger portfolio of clients and renewal opportunities, ensuring accounts receive the right level of engagement while keeping momentum across your book of business.

Your primary focus will be retaining existing revenue, identifying risk early and finding opportunities to grow accounts through additional products, teams or longer-term partnerships where there is a clear client need.
You’ll lead renewal and commercial conversations, deliver product demonstrations and presentations, negotiate agreements and maintain an accurate sales pipeline. You’ll be expected to take ownership of your numbers, prioritize effectively and consistently move opportunities forward.

This role is based in our New York City office with an expectation of three days per week in office. Client meetings may also take place in person, with travel primarily within New York City and the Tri-State area.

Our Account Management team is collaborative, ambitious and commercially focused. You’ll work alongside Account Managers and senior sales leaders, as well as teams across Client Services, Product, Finance and other areas of WGSN.

You’ll be joining an environment where people are encouraged to take ownership, ask questions, share ideas and continuously develop their commercial skills. While everyone owns their individual portfolio and targets, we work as a team to share knowledge, solve challenges and drive results.

  • Manage an SMB Portfolio: Own a portfolio of small and medium-sized clients across lower contract values, balancing multiple accounts, renewal cycles and commercial opportunities at the same time.
  • Drive Retention: Take ownership of annual renewals across your portfolio, engaging clients proactively, identifying potential risks early and creating clear plans to retain revenue.
  • Identify Growth Opportunities: Understand how clients are using WGSN and identify relevant opportunities to expand their partnership through additional products, teams or multi-year agreements.
  • Manage the Commercial Cycle: Lead opportunities from initial conversation through proposal, negotiation and close, confidently handling pricing, objections and contract discussions.
  • Deliver Against Targets: Work toward clear monthly and quarterly revenue targets and activity KPIs, taking ownership of your individual performance and contribution to the wider team.
  • Prioritize Effectively: Manage a high volume of accounts efficiently, knowing where deeper engagement is needed and where a more streamlined commercial approach is appropriate.
  • Build Client Relationships: Develop relationships with key users and decision-makers across your accounts, understanding their priorities and ensuring WGSN continues to demonstrate value.
  • Communicate WGSN’s Value: Deliver engaging product demonstrations, presentations and commercial proposals tailored to clients across industries including Fashion, Beauty, Food & Drink, Interiors and Consumer Tech.
  • Maintain an Accurate Pipeline: Keep Salesforce current and accurate, including opportunities, client notes, next steps, close dates and forecasts, providing clear visibility into the health and performance of your portfolio.
  • Work Collaboratively: Partner with colleagues across Account Management, Client Services, Product and other teams to support clients while maintaining ownership of the commercial relationship.
  • Meet Clients Locally: Build relationships through in-person client engagement where it adds value, primarily across New York City and the Tri-State area.
This list is not exhaustive, and there may be other activities you are required to deliver.
