This is NOT your ordinary sales job.
You're not cold-calling strangers or trying to convince people to buy a gym membership they don't want.
Our clients come to us because they already know they need help. Your job is to meet them, understand what they're struggling with, assess their needs, and confidently show them how GYMGUYZ can help, when we're genuinely the right solution.
A great Master Trainer is first and foremost a great trainer who loves people, builds relationships quickly, and isn't afraid to ask for the sale when they know they've found the right solution.
If that sounds like you, keep reading.
What do YOU get?
- Competitive Compensation: Earn $35 per personal training session, $45 per semi-private session, and $55 per group session, plus 2% commission on new packages, renewals and upgrades.
- Real Earning Potential: Your income grows as you train more clients, build stronger relationships, and generate new business. A highly driven Master Trainer can earn upwards of $50k per year.
- Fuel & Mileage Compensation: We help offset the cost of being a mobile trainer with fuel and mileage compensation.
- Paid Training & Mentorship: Continue developing your skills through paid team training, mentorship, and professional development.
- Career Growth: Build toward Territory Manager, General Manager, or other leadership opportunities as your skills and the business grow.
- Expert Team Backing: Work alongside a supportive network of trainers, nutrition coaches, athletes, and wellness professionals.
Is This You?
You might be a great fit if:
- You genuinely love personal training and helping people.
- You ask great questions, listen, and understand what a client actually needs.
- You're confident saying, "Based on what you've told me, here's what I recommend."
- You're comfortable asking for the business when you know GYMGUYZ is the right solution.
- You're motivated by both client results and business results.
What You'll Do
As a Master Trainer, you'll be the primary point of contact for new and existing clients. You'll:
- Conduct complimentary in-home fitness assessments and identify client goals, challenges, and needs
- Recommend appropriate personal training solutions and confidently close sales
- Deliver safe, effective, and engaging personal training sessions
- Build strong relationships focused on results, accountability, and retention
- Identify opportunities for semi-private and group training
- Participate in weekly field marketing and community outreach
- Represent the GYMGUYZ brand professionally in clients' homes and throughout the territory
- Manage your schedule, appointments, and follow-up independently
- Help support the growth of the team and territory as the business expands
We believe in consultative sales, not pressure sales.
You're not expected to sell someone something they don't need.
You're expected to listen, assess, identify whether we can solve the problem, and confidently recommend the appropriate service.
If you can do that while delivering an exceptional client experience, you'll have the opportunity to earn more as you help the business grow.
What You'll Need
- Personal Trainer Certification (CPT) from an accredited organization
- CPR/AED certification
- Experience in personal training or a strong foundation in fitness
- Comfort with sales conversations and closing during the assessment process
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Availability for occasional evenings and some weekend hours
This is a mobile role. You'll have the autonomy to manage your day, but you'll also be trusted to represent GYMGUYZ professionally in homes and communities throughout Chester, Montgomery, and Delaware counties.
If you're a trainer who loves people, knows how to build trust, and has the confidence to turn a great client conversation into a great client relationship—and a great client relationship into a sale—we'd love to meet you.
