Lead the technical sales cycle: Partner with sales, post-sales, and product teams to manage the technical aspects of customer opportunities, from initial discovery and solution design through product evaluation, validation, and deal closure.
Conduct in-depth customer discovery: Understand existing lifecycle marketing workflows, including campaign briefs, audience segmentation, content creation, customer journeys, quality assurance, approvals, and message delivery. Identify current technology limitations and opportunities for improvement.
Design migration and consolidation strategies: Develop practical approaches for migrating from existing email service providers (ESPs), including phased transitions, sending-volume allocation, journey and template migration, engagement-data synchronization, and decisions about which incumbent capabilities should remain in place.
Advise on deliverability and messaging infrastructure: Guide customers on shared versus dedicated IP addresses, IP and domain warming, sending-volume strategies, seed testing, inbox placement, sender reputation, bounce and complaint management, feedback loops, and engagement diagnostics.
Design and support technical pilots: Collaborate with forward-deployed and implementation teams to connect warehouse data, brand assets, and messaging templates. Demonstrate how AI-powered agents can generate campaigns, orchestrate customer journeys, and execute live sends against agreed success criteria.
Translate business needs into technical solutions: Develop tailored demonstrations, solution architectures, and validation plans that address customer requirements while showcasing the platform's capabilities and business value.
Influence product development: Serve as a key feedback channel between customers and product and engineering teams, identifying recurring challenges and translating insights from active sales opportunities into prioritized product improvements.
Develop the technical sales playbook: Build reusable demo environments, discovery frameworks, migration guides, deliverability runbooks, request-for-proposal (RFP) response libraries, competitive positioning materials, and sales enablement resources.
Enable broader sales teams: Train and support sales and solutions engineering colleagues as the product expands, helping them communicate its value and contribute to opportunities involving customer data platforms and AI-driven marketing solutions.
Support go-to-market execution: Collaborate across teams to refine sales processes, strengthen competitive differentiation, and establish repeatable approaches for positioning and selling an emerging product category.
