Independent Contractor – T-CPT-11377 WordPress Website Designer & Developer Virtual Assistant (Project-Based)/Technical VA/Junior-Senior Level (Remote).

20four7VA is seeking offshore independent contractors to deliver remote services to clients worldwide, with a primary focus on developed markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.

We are seeking an experienced WordPress Website Designer & Developer Virtual Assistant to redesign an existing website for a specialized school-district translation company. The goal is to create a clean, modern, and highly professional website that builds trust with K–12 school administrators and special education professionals while making it simple for visitors to request a free quote or sample translation.
The ideal candidate has strong experience designing responsive WordPress websites, implementing user-friendly forms, optimizing websites for speed and SEO, and creating intuitive content management systems that allow non-technical users to update website content independently.

The objective of each engagement is to assist the client in improving business efficiency, enhancing service delivery, or supporting operational functions through high-quality, task-specific services rendered by a qualified contractor.

Contractors will be required to provide services that align with the following client tasks:

• Redesign the existing WordPress website with a modern, professional, and trustworthy appearance.
• Develop a fully responsive website optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
• Build and organize the following website pages:
  • Home
  • About
  • Services
  • Languages Offered
  • Testimonials
  • FAQ
  • Contact / Request a Free Quote
  • Contract Renewal
  • New Client Registration
• Create intuitive quote request and contact forms with file upload capability.
• Implement Contract Renewal and New Client Registration forms that generate copies for both the client and business owner.
• Configure dynamic contract dates where applicable.
• Design strong call-to-action sections encouraging visitors to request a free quote or free sample translation.
• Structure the website so content, testimonials, and service information can easily be updated without developer assistance.
• Optimize website speed, usability, and mobile performance.
• Perform basic on-page SEO setup, including:
  • Page titles
  • Meta descriptions
  • Heading hierarchy
  • Image optimization
• Conduct cross-browser and mobile compatibility testing.
• Provide website launch support.
• Deliver training or documentation for ongoing website management.
• Ensure the client receives full ownership of all website files and content upon project completion.

Each engagement is based on a defined scope of work and is governed by an independent contractor agreement. Services must be performed professionally, with adherence to any timelines, guidelines, and deliverables agreed upon in writing.

The Contractor must demonstrate proficiency in the following, depending on the Client’s requirements:

• Proven experience designing and developing professional WordPress websites.
• Strong knowledge of responsive web design and mobile-first development.
• Experience building custom forms with file upload functionality.
• Experience working with WordPress page builders (Elementor, Gutenberg, Divi, or similar).
• Understanding of UX/UI best practices for lead generation websites.
• Familiarity with SEO fundamentals and website performance optimization.
• Ability to organize content for easy long-term maintenance.
• Excellent written English communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Ability to complete project milestones within the expected timeline.

• Experience designing websites for education, healthcare, legal, or professional service businesses.
• Familiarity with digital contracts or e-signature workflows.
• Experience integrating WordPress plugins for forms, document generation, and email notifications.
• Basic graphic design skills for creating clean, professional layouts.

Candidates should have experience with some or all of the following:

• WordPress
• Elementor (or equivalent WordPress page builder)
• WPForms, Gravity Forms, or Fluent Forms
• Google Workspace
• Google Drive
• Adobe Acrobat (or equivalent PDF editor)
• Canva (preferred)
• Figma (preferred)
• Google Chrome Developer Tools
• Basic SEO plugins (Yoast SEO or Rank Math)

• Scheduled Working Days: Monday through Friday (unless otherwise mutually agreed in writing)

Note: The Company will make reasonable efforts to align the Assigned VA’s schedule with the Client’s preferred hours as set forth above. However, availability may vary based on time zones, capacity, and the contracted hours set in this SOW. Any changes must be mutually agreed to in writing through a revised SOW.

• Contractors will operate under a Master Services Agreement and a Statement of Work
• This is not an offer of employment; contractors are not employees of 20four7VA or any client
• All compensation is processed through 20four7VA according to the terms of the engagement
