We are looking for an Account Manager Infectious Disease to cover Antwerp, Limburg, and parts of Flemish Brabant and Brussels. In this role, you will drive the adoption and growth of Abbott’s diagnostic solutions, working closely with healthcare stakeholders to expand point-of-care (POC) testing and build strong, long-term partnerships.
This is a field-based role requiring regular travel across the region. You will work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment, collaborating with internal teams to deliver impactful solutions and support business growth.

Drive market development and build strong customer relationships across your territory to achieve and exceed sales targets

Lead the execution and growth of Abbott’s Rapid & Molecular Diagnostics portfolio across Antwerp, Limburg, and parts of Flemish Brabant and Brussels

Manage your territory and customer portfolio end-to-end, ensuring sustainable growth while optimizing costs and margins

Engage diverse healthcare stakeholders (hospitals, laboratories, emergency services, public and private sectors) to deliver tailored solutions

Maintain deep product and market expertise, representing Abbott at congresses, events, and customer presentations
- →
Identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive activity, proactively translating insights into new business opportunities
- →
Strengthen Abbott’s brand presence by building long-term strategic partnerships and ensuring accurate CRM management and reporting
Degree in Life Sciences (e.g., Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Immunology, Haematology) or equivalent experience
Proven experience in healthcare sales, ideally within diagnostics, medical devices, or biotechnology
Strong understanding of hospital environments and medical laboratories
Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
Ability to work strategically while also executing operational plans effectively
Strong communication and relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholders
Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
Comfort working independently in a field-based role while collaborating within a matrix organization
Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
Fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus
Willingness to travel frequently within the region
