Role Overview
The Service Sales Director is responsible for leading the strategy, growth, and execution of the service sales business, with full accountability for revenue, customer outcomes, and market expansion. This role will lead a high-performing team to deliver sustained growth, deepen customer partnerships, and position service offerings as a strategic differentiator.
This is a critical leadership role within the India organization, playing a central part in delivering the India growth plan while ensuring strong alignment with cross-functional and regional leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Leadership & Growth
Own and deliver the service sales order target, ensuring consistent growth and profitability
Define and execute the service sales strategy, aligned to enterprise priorities and market opportunities
Drive expansion across installed base, contract penetration, and lifecycle services
Identify and capture new growth opportunities including enterprise accounts, digital services, and solution-based offerings
2. Strategic Execution
Translate strategy into clear execution plans, KPIs, and operating cadence
Drive a culture of accountability, pipeline discipline, and forecast accuracy
Lead key business reviews and ensure rigorous performance management across the team
Partner with Marketing, Product, and Commercial leaders to align go-to-market strategies
3. Leadership & Team Development
Lead, coach, and develop a team of ~10 direct reports (including 2 managers and 8 individual contributors)
Build leadership capability within the team, especially through first-line managers
Foster a culture of high performance, collaboration, and customer focus
Ensure talent development, succession planning, and retention of key performers
4. Customer & Market Engagement
Build and strengthen senior-level customer relationships, particularly in enterprise accounts
Position services as a strategic value driver, moving beyond transactional sales to long-term partnerships
Engage directly in high-value opportunities, negotiations, and strategic deals
Represent the organization externally with credibility and market insight
5. Cross-Functional & Regional Alignment
Act as a key member of the India leadership team, ensuring alignment with broader business priorities
Collaborate closely with sales, service delivery, and support functions to ensure seamless customer experience
Align with APAC/global strategies while adapting to local market dynamics
Drive integrated execution across instruments, consumables, and services

Commercial acumen with experience in pipeline management, forecasting, and deal execution
