The Expansion Account Executive is responsible for accelerating growth across a portfolio of strategic Central Government ministries, departments, public institutions, and State Government accounts across North and East India. The role focuses on expanding Autodesk’s footprint by identifying new opportunities across departments, agencies, projects, workflows, and user groups. You will build senior government relationships, develop outcome-led account strategies, and position Autodesk as a long-term technology partner supporting digital transformation, infrastructure development, and operational modernization. Success will be measured through expansion revenue, qualified pipeline growth, forecast accuracy, strategic account penetration, and measurable customer outcomes.

Develop and execute strategic account plans for assigned Central and State Government accounts

Identify whitespace and expansion opportunities across ministries, departments, agencies, projects, and geographic regions
- →
Build trusted relationships with senior government officials, technical leaders, procurement teams, consultants, and other key stakeholders

Understand government priorities and translate them into relevant business outcomes, value propositions, and solution strategies

Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from opportunity development through tendering, negotiation, and commercial closure

Navigate government procurement processes and collaborate with internal teams and channel partners to develop compliant, competitive proposals

Expand the adoption of Autodesk solutions across infrastructure, buildings, manufacturing, urban development, and related government workflows

Orchestrate sales, technical, customer success, industry, marketing, and partner resources around a unified account strategy
- →
Maintain a strong, qualified pipeline and provide accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasts

Capture customer and market insights to inform Autodesk’s public-sector strategy, product direction, and go-to-market approach
Requirements
~1 min read5+ years of enterprise technology, software, SaaS, or cloud sales experience
Proven experience managing and growing Central Government, State Government, or large public-sector accounts
Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and leading complex government sales cycles
Strong understanding of government procurement, tendering, commercial negotiations, and partner-led sales models
Experience in strategic account planning, outcome-based selling, executive engagement, and value articulation
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and collaborate across internal teams, consultants, system integrators, and channel partners
Knowledge of architecture, engineering, construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, or urban development sectors is preferred
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
Willingness to travel extensively across North and East India
