The Baker Hughes Internship is designed to enable students either pursuing a Bachelors’ or Masters’ degree or recently graduated to gain hands-on work experience as the foundation of their professional lives. Our internships will give you first-hand insights into the processes, systems, and practices that are aligned to ensure customer needs are met through flawless execution and the application of leading-edge technology.
You’ll participate in focused training, and team meetings, work on projects, and present your results. During your internship, you will be supported by a buddy and your manager who will ensure you have a valuable learning experience. You can expect to receive coaching and mentoring to enable you to complete assignments and projects to develop your learning and skillset.
You will also have the opportunity to become familiar with the Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) and culture of Baker Hughes. as well as our strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
Requirements
~1 min readCurrently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Plant Engineering, or a related field
Basic knowledge of rotating equipment, mechanical schemes and hydrogen technologies is considered a plus
Familiarity with laboratory characterization techniques and data analysis tools
Knowledge of statistical analysis and Design of Experiments (DoE) methodologies is an advantage
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Interest in advanced materials, degradation mechanisms, and sustainable energy technologies
Exposure to cutting-edge hydrogen and decarbonization technologies
Hands-on experience with advanced manufacturing assessment methodologies
Practical application of new energy markets, as well as traditional oil and gas applications.

Experience collaborating with experts in product development
To be successful in this role you will:
Have (or being in the final stage to have) a Master's degree in related Engineering Disciplines
Demonstrated academic excellence
Passion for engineering with strong technical attitude and an analytical approach to problem solving
Fluent in English (oral and written)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Be able to legally work in the country in which you are applying, without company sponsorship or time restrictions.

The fixed allowance for this position will be between this range: 600 - 1000 € gross monthly.
The allowance will be established in accordance with criteria related to the candidate’s academic status and their distance from the workplace.
