CPJ Saint Lucia a premier distributor of food and beverage brands to the hospitality and retail sectors, is seeking to recruit a Fleet & Facilities Coordinator – Retail and Warehouse Support to provide day-to-day operational support across our CPJ Fresh Market retail locations, warehouse areas, fleet activities, and facilities operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating maintenance activities, conducting site inspections, monitoring equipment and refrigeration systems, supporting fleet maintenance follow-up, liaising with contractors, and ensuring that facilities, safety, food safety, and operational standards are maintained across assigned locations. This role requires regular travel between CPJ locations and a hands-on, proactive approach to issue identification, follow-up, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Conduct regular inspections across CPJ Fresh Market locations, including sales floors, back-of-house areas, receiving docks, storage areas, parking areas, external grounds, staff areas, and customer-facing facilities.
- Monitor store equipment, refrigeration units, HVAC systems, food service equipment, electrical and plumbing infrastructure, doors, lighting, drainage, and safety systems.
- Review temperature logs and support immediate action where cold chain, refrigeration, or food safety issues are identified.
- Coordinate preventive and reactive maintenance activities with approved contractors and service providers.
- Support contractor supervision, work order follow-up, maintenance documentation, and completion verification.
- Assist with fleet coordination, including vehicle servicing, repair follow-up, defect reports, inspection records, licensing documentation, and vehicle availability.
- Conduct health, safety, environmental, and facilities checks, including fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, first aid kits, exit routes, signage, and hazard reporting.
- Provide support to warehouse facilities operations, including inspections, maintenance follow-up, contractor coordination, and corrective actions.
- Submit inspection reports, work order updates, contractor updates, fleet maintenance updates, incident reports, and weekly updates on outstanding matters.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should have:
- An Associate Degree or Technical Certificate in Facilities Management, Building Services, Electrical/Mechanical Technology, Fleet Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- At least 2–3 years’ experience in facilities coordination, equipment maintenance, fleet support, contractor coordination, or retail/warehouse operations support.
- A valid Saint Lucia Driver’s Licence.
- Working knowledge of refrigeration systems, building utilities, food retail equipment, basic vehicle maintenance coordination, HSE requirements, and facilities-related food safety risks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
- Basic HSE / First Aid Certification would be an asset.
- Food Safety Awareness Certification would also be an asset.
- Ability and willingness to travel between CPJ locations as required.

Working Conditions
This is a field-based role requiring regular travel between CPJ Fresh Market retail locations, the main warehouse, and other company locations as assigned. The role may require access to operational areas including loading bays, cold storage areas, plant rooms, warehouse areas, parking areas, and external grounds. The successful candidate may also be required to work outside normal hours in response to urgent equipment failures, cold chain incidents, vehicle breakdowns, safety risks, or contractor scheduling requirements.
