We are seeking an Account Manager to join our Corporate Affairs practice. This is a mid-level position where you can play a leading role in day-to-day account activity and contribute to a broad range of proactive and reactive issues-oriented projects.  

 

We seek someone with the ability and eagerness to juggle multiple responsibilities inside and outside traditional work hours. Candidates with a corporate or public affairs background and strong experience supporting crisis and reputation management projects are strongly preferred.  

Responsibilities

  • Support a range of corporate and crisis communications situations, including cybersecurity/ data breach issues, product safety issues and recalls, employee misbehavior, NGO campaigns, litigation, investigative reporting, and more.  
  • Serve as a member of the team, managing issues as they arise.  
  • Work with the team to develop and draft GAP analysis, crisis plans, media strategies, FAQs, memos, crisis simulations, and other deliverables.  
  • Oversee and execute proactive media outreach and reactive media relations strategies. 
  • Assist in providing strategic counsel on messaging and communications to help inform client strategies and recommendations. 
  • Oversee and execute issues management and crisis campaigns for clients. 
  • Oversee and execute public affairs, advocacy, and education campaigns for clients. 
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of client affairs and trends to counsel clients on breaking news and socially or culturally sensitive topics. 
  • Support the development of crisis response strategies, reactive statements, FAQs, and other deliverables as needed. 
  • Keep client programs on schedule and ensure all deadlines are met within budget parameters. 
  • Participate in new business development for the group. 

Requirements

  • Crisis communications background and understanding of corporate communications and issues management best practices.  
  • Skilled media relations strategist and practitioner with top-tier media relations experience  
  • Thrives under pressure and can handle unpredictable deadlines and evolving client expectations. 
  • Exercises exceptional judgment when working with clients, team members, and vendors.  
  • A strategist that communicates analytically and persuasively both orally and in writing 
  • Big picture perspective and adept at solving problems and resolving conflicts.

  • Comfortable and knowledgeable working in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel alongside Zoom and Microsoft Teams.    
  • Ability to take direction, ask clarifying questions, and follow through on required deadlines. 
  • Proficiency in using media monitoring and data analytics tools like Muckrack, Critical Mention, Meltwater, and Cision.  
  • Proficiency in using Adobe, Canva, and other design tools.

In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation in all locations within the United States for this role is $72K-$108K. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
