Corporate Partnerships Manager Computers 4 People · Hoboken, NJ · Full-time (W-2) · $65,000–$75,000 Reports to the Founder & Executive Director About us Computers 4 People collects used computers from companies, securely wipes and refurbishes them, and gives them to people who need one. Since 2019 we've donated more than 8,000 computers and worked with hundreds of companies and nonprofits. Our goal is one million, and we're building the team to get there. The job Most of our computers come from corporate donors, so this role matters a lot. You'll be the person companies deal with at C4P, from the first call through the pickup, the reporting, and ideally the next donation after that. In a typical week you might talk with an IT director who has 300 laptops being refreshed, check in with a donor from last spring about their next refresh, look at which of our outreach emails are actually getting meetings, and make sure a data destruction certificate went out when we said it would. What you'll own Existing donors. You'll manage a group of companies, universities, and government entities that already give to us. Learn their refresh cycles, reach out before they think of us, and look for other offices, business units, or portfolio companies that could donate too. New partners. Take calls with interested companies, explain how our process and data security work, and answer their concerns honestly. Do your own outreach as well. Some prospects won't be ready for a year, so stay in touch. Closing. Figure out how many devices, what kind, what condition, where they are, when they're available, and what security requirements apply. Help your contact get approval internally and keep things moving until they commit. Pickups. Our Operations team handles logistics, but the donor is still yours. Give Ops what they need, keep the donor updated, and step in when something goes wrong. Follow-through. Make sure certificates, data destruction records, and equipment reports reach donors on time. Tell them what happened to their computers. That conversation is usually the best opening for the next donation. Pipeline. Keep our CRM accurate, follow up so good opportunities don't stall, and keep the rest of the team aware of what's coming. Lead generation. Help manage our lead-gen team. Decide which companies and people to target, review what's working, and make sure good leads get a quick, personal follow-up. How we'll measure success Mostly by how many computers you bring in. We'll also look at new donors, repeat and growing donations from existing partners, how well leads turn into meetings and meetings into donations, whether donors get their reporting on time, and whether the CRM reflects reality. Who we're looking for You like talking to people, and you actually follow up. You're just as comfortable with an IT manager handing off 50 laptops as with an executive considering a national partnership. You can be persistent without being pushy, and you can juggle a lot of relationships without losing details. Experience in sales, account management, partnerships, customer success, fundraising, IT asset disposition, or sustainability helps, but it isn't required. We care more about how you build relationships, how quickly you learn, and whether you get things done. We're a small, growing team, so the job will change over time. You should be fine with that.
