HR Administrative Coordinator
Location: San Diego, CA
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Pay: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour
Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Assignment: Temporary / Project-Based (Expected Duration: 1–6 Months)

Join Our Team
Collision Auto Parts is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Administrative Coordinator to support our Human Resources department during a high-volume period. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in recruiting, onboarding, payroll support, employee records, and HR administration while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
This is a temporary, project-based position expected to last approximately 1–6 months. The assignment may be extended or conclude earlier based on business needs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial phone screenings of applicants and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
  • Prepare and process new hire paperwork and onboarding documentation.
  • Assist with I-9 verification and employment eligibility documentation.
  • Audit employee timecards daily for accuracy and communicate with managers regarding missing punches, approvals, and corrections.
  • Prepare HR correspondence, employment letters, disciplinary documents, and other employee-related paperwork.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and paper personnel files.
  • Scan, file, organize, and maintain confidential employee records.
  • Assist with job postings, recruiting activities, interview scheduling, and candidate communications.
  • Prepare leave of absence, benefits, and other HR documentation as directed.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide administrative support to the Human Resources department.
  • Perform data entry within HRIS, payroll, and other company systems.
  • Support special HR projects and perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of administrative, office, recruiting, or Human Resources experience preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience using:
    • Microsoft Outlook
    • Microsoft Teams
    • Microsoft Word
    • Microsoft Excel
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn HRIS, payroll, and applicant tracking systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with professionalism.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Physical Requirements

Compensation & Schedule
  • Pay Range: $18.00–$21.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, skills, and business needs.
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
  • Location: On-site in San Diego, California.
